    A body discovered in Vancouver's Stanley Park Thursday is believed to be that of former U.S. sitcom actor Andrew Koenig.

    Vancouver police say the body was discovered around noon Thursday.

    A press conference has been scheduled for 5 p.m. Koenig's family, who travelled to Vancouver to help search for him, is expected to attend.

    Koenig, who played the role of Richard "Boner" Stabone on the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains" arrived in Vancouver Feb. 11 to visit friends.

    He was last seen on Valentine's Day.

    Police have not said who found the body.

    Search teams had spent recent days searching the Stanley Park area because Koenig enjoyed spending time there.
