    "It all started when the Iranian media quoted one of the country's Friday prayer leaders: "Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes" -- that, according an English translation of Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi's remarks.

    When Jen McCreight heard Sedighi’s claim, she decided to organize an experiment. The self-described “liberal, geeky, nerdy, scientific, perverted atheist feminist” from Indiana opened a Boobquake Facebook page, requesting women all over the world dress as immodestly as possible without getting arrested on Monday.

    McCreight, who claims to wear a D-cup size bra, explained: "On Monday, April 26th, I will wear the most cleavage-showing shirt I own. Yes, the one usually reserved for a night on the town.

    "I encourage other female skeptics to join me and embrace the supposed supernatural power of their breasts. Or short shorts, if that's your preferred form of immodesty. With the power of our scandalous bodies combined, we should surely produce an earthquake. If not, I'm sure Sedighi can come up with a rational explanation for why the ground didn't rumble. And if we really get through to him, maybe it'll be one involving plate tectonics."

    The Examiner was unable to confirm whether the Farsi word for "earthquake" in fact refers to a geological event or an Elvis-style “All Shook Up” hormonal reaction.

    Those of the female-gender persuasion can refer to Carol King's I Feel the Earth Move for another perspective of the hyperstimulating connection between geological and hormonal phenomena. King refers not only to earthquakes, but anomalous meteorological events as well, such as the "sky tumbling down."

    If we really want to test Sedighi's theory, all you guys, 'round the world, join the ladies, strip down 'n strut on Monday, April 26 -- let's all be dancin' in the streets -- earthquakes be damned!"

    This woman is sick taking earthquakes so lightly. People die and families are ruined from these things all the time. Show a little class ffs.
