If only we can get Payton back. Having Vilma at depth will be tremendous for our LB corps as well as will Smith. Great news

Payton, and the draft picks, doubtful we get either when it's all said and done, but this is a good start.

  9. "Decision says Good ell can reconsider only if there is evidence of intent to injure beyond just a performance pool"

They don't have any evidence at all
  10. Schefter saying that given this result, Payton and Loomis will likely now open their own lawsuits to get their suspensions rescinded or reduced as well. Vilma and others eligible to play this weekend vs the Redskins.

    EDIT: Obligatory Suck It Goodell

  13. yeah...but will they be in "football" shape on Sunday??
  14. They will stay pay the consequences for their actions when God judges. Wise men would have served the punishment on earth in an attempt to be in good graces when the time comes.
  15. wow.

    suck it, goodell.

Jonathan Vilma is still recovering from a knee injury suffered last year. He'll be placed on the PUP list probably. Will Smith has been practicing with the team the entire preseason, so he'll likely start on Sunday.

Anthony Hargrove (cut by Green Bay) and Scott Fujita (Cleveland) are no longer with the team.

So to answer your question, sort of?

  17. Goodell got shit on today.

Only problem, well two really: 1) I was not the one doing the shitting 2) my und 9.5 bet is looking real shaky.

i don't see how it looks shaky from today's decision. Vilma isn't even our starter anymore(although he adds great depth)+he's injured. Will smith is our best DE but his impact isn't enough to affect our bet, imo.

Now if somehow payton and vitt get their suspensions revoked i'd be a lot more worried if i were u.
  19. It's shaky because the Saints already had a patriotsesque fuck you vibe and now they have not only fuck you but were going to make you watch your brutalization on replay vibe.
  20. Pleased for the players, their window too earn is too short to miss out on an entire season for something they may not have instituted. I don't think Payton, or any coach that implemented the system should be given a reprieve though. Need to keep a strong precedent.

what system? a pay for performance that every team does?
  23. Not that I think the Saints will win it all, but it would be beyond sweet to watch Goodell hand the Lombardi to the Saints.
  24. I just wish the Saints would have listen to their coach and knocked Kyle Williams out of the game like he fucking asked.

Those bastards do their job, and the 49ers go to the superbowl.

  25. hey the 49ers knocked PT out of the nfc game...where' their penalties???
  26. You clearly missed my point...
  27. If the Saints were gonna have a Pats-style F You season because of Bountygate, doesn't this make them even better and even more likely to smash faces?

Anything that makes Goodell look like an idiot is good for me...
