    If only we can get Payton back. Having Vilma at depth will be tremendous for our LB corps as well as will Smith. Great news

    Payton, and the draft picks, doubtful we get either when it's all said and done, but this is a good start.

    Schefter saying that given this result, Payton and Loomis will likely now open their own lawsuits to get their suspensions rescinded or reduced as well. Vilma and others eligible to play this weekend vs the Redskins.

    Jonathan Vilma is still recovering from a knee injury suffered last year. He'll be placed on the PUP list probably. Will Smith has been practicing with the team the entire preseason, so he'll likely start on Sunday.

    Anthony Hargrove (cut by Green Bay) and Scott Fujita (Cleveland) are no longer with the team.

    So to answer your question, sort of?

    i don't see how it looks shaky from today's decision. Vilma isn't even our starter anymore(although he adds great depth)+he's injured. Will smith is our best DE but his impact isn't enough to affect our bet, imo.

    Now if somehow payton and vitt get their suspensions revoked i'd be a lot more worried if i were u.

    Pleased for the players, their window too earn is too short to miss out on an entire season for something they may not have instituted. I don't think Payton, or any coach that implemented the system should be given a reprieve though. Need to keep a strong precedent.

    Not that I think the Saints will win it all, but it would be beyond sweet to watch Goodell hand the Lombardi to the Saints.

    I believe so. Pleased with having Saints -7 Week 1, Saints to Win NFC South and Saints over 10 wins @ 2.5 to 1 all booked.
