I love Breaking Bad, but Dexter is better, Breaking Bad is #2 though.

  16. I think its between The Wire, Dexter and Breaking Bad and you could argue for anyone of them and not be wrong. Going to watch the season 3 premier of breaking bad in a little while, I was a little disappointed how they ended season 2 so Im pretty pumped to see how they try and put things back together.
  17. lol i thought they ended season 2 amazingly. He's responsible for all of those deaths with his indecision to save the girls life. too tired to really go into this however i think we can all agree that Brian Cranston is an amazing amazing actor.

they should have made the premier 2 hours, at least 90 minutes, good show still.

walts, "I blame the government" line toward the end was pure gold.
  19. holy shit! that ending was insane lol. this is gonna be a great season
  20. Question: Who the fk was the guy at the chicken joint?

I think it's implied that he's with the DEA. I just watched the mini-marathon this weekend, and I remember seeing him and Hank in the DEA office when Hank was collecting donations for Walt.
  23. who the fk are the skull boot dudes? Or is that what I need to watch the rest of the season for? Never seen them before tho?

No, no, no. That is "Gus". He's one of the biggest drug suppliers in the western half of the US, but also has a legit front (as owner of los pollo's chicken). He was in the DEA office because he's one of the "community leaders". I know Walt turned down the offer, but Giancarlo Esposito was made a series regular for this season so we'll be seeing more of him.

So far they are just known as "the Cousins". I believe they are Tuco's cousins who are with the Cartel. From the looks of this episode they'll be the chief antagonists of the season, coming to Albuquerque to hunt down "Heisenberg". For some good analysis on this episode I def recommend anyone who's interested to check out this blog post.

Who else but Stringer Bell to offer some clarity on the ins and outs of "legal fronts" for the purpose of drug trafficking, as well as embedding oneself within the community at large.

Glad to hear Gus is back for a full season. I'd like a deeper look into his criminal mind.

Haha yeah Gus has pretty much everything Stringer ever wanted. Making bank with legit businesses as a front, while isolated from anything on the street level.

I'm also happy they made Gus a series regular. The first two seasons of the show had a very concentrated world with so few main characters. Adding Gus and Saul (Bob Odenkirk is also a series reg this seaon) has helped alleviate that problem. And I fricken love Saul Goodman.
  29. lol stringer...you posted a Whats Alan Watching link maybe a year ago...since then Ive used it as an addendum not only to all The Wire episodes I rewatched a month ago, but I also read his blog after every new Mad Men, as well as Breaking Bad to boot.

Thank you so so much for introducing me to that blog, it makes the material viewed THAT much better.
