    Coming out of lurking to say my brother makes plane crashes his bitch. (he was a passenger)


    Hes on the right

    was on his way to vegas(Yesterday), hit some beast mode wind when landing

    Yeah. Beast mode wind. I'd be saying something like that if I'd just totaled a fucking $200k plane. (Or whatever they cost...tree-fiddy?)

    If thats the runway behind the windsock it looks like the wind is straight down the runway. What was it something like 20kts?

    I flew in yesterday (Friday) and the plane was all over the place on approach - jumbo jet. I was looking out the window to see if trees and flags were blowing hard. But no wind at ground level. weird.

    weirdest I have seen was flying into IAD during a tropical storm. The winds at 3000 feet were 80 knots.
