Who they gonna get? Would not be surprised if Holmgren can't lure the right guy and makes himself the HC.

Doubt Marvin Lewis will stay with the Bungles..he might like it up north
-
I'm sure they'll go after some other coach who was treated as the second coming of Christ after one good year.
-
Tough break on Jerome Harrison going Rambo in the last 4 games of the 09 season. That was the only reason Mangini wasn't fired at this time last year. Goo luck in the CFL, Eric!
Rotowold had a blurb that thinks Marty Mornhinweg will be a contender because of his relationship w/ Holmgren, as well as John Fox. So they might replace Mangini with 2 guys who coached 2 of the worst losing teams of the last decade. Nice. -
Don't really want either of those, but to John Fox's defense the Panthers front office did him a pretty big disservice iirc.

reckon so -
Guy is just not a good coach

Browns fans ought to be fired up about their football team, and this is coming from a Steeler fan. McCoy, Hillis and Haden are top-quality NFL players at a very young age. (Although our man Mike Wallace burned the dogshit out of Haden on the first play yesterday.) Good luck with whoever you get, Cleveland. You people deserve a better football team.

What, it'll be a cold snowy day in hell before I believe the great eric mangini would be fired.
wait. -

Wrong. TJ Ward who was the over the top help bit on the wrong route (there was another deep route on that side of the field). -
Even with the front office suckitude the panthers managed to field a decent defense this year.
O may be the worst ever -
I really didn't see what every1 else saw in Colt Mccoy. Don't think he's even close to a franchise QB. Sucks for Browns fans because they are stuck with him atleast for a year or 2. And Hillis is a flash in the pan no way he duplicates last year imo... but yeah, good team coming up
-
Guy deserved to be fired after the Jets game.
Pretty results oriented move. But it's obvious that Holmgren wants back on the coaching grind.
I mean Mangini obviously sucks. Who can't win with a Delhomme, Seneca, Colt triumvirate at the most important position?
Don't cry for Mangina, 2 years and 8 mllion to do absolutely nothing must be a nice racket. -
you much not watch that much football, i mean colt is a rookie getting thrown into some of the toughest games on our schedule. besides that we had gohome running the team rest of the year. hillis will be this sweet becasue our o line if awesome if he can not fumble and try not to kill everyone when he gets the ball.

Holy standard Browns fan. Colt (at first) didnt make mistakes, he also didnt make many plays. The last few games he made mistakes, and didnt make many plays. He won't be a franchise QB. Yeah he has showed more talent than Tim Couch, goood luck with him. As far as Hillis goes, yea he is a beast...but his style will shorten his career by infinite numbers. He has 2 seasons tops till he is a wash. Doubt the Browns contend in the next 2 years, which makes him irrelevant. Oh and yea I watch a lot of football, unfortunately for myself I didnt purchase the ticket and was forced to watch the Browns or Bungholes most of the year. If I was a Browns fan, I still wouldnt see light after this season. I see a duplicate season next year.

I think McCoy might have done enough to keep the Browns from drafting someone else this year, but I can't imagine he won't be on a short leash next season. He's a 3rd round pick, so there's no way they invest 2 more seasons in him if they doesn't make drastic improvements next year. That said, if there's any team other than the Rams who should make serious offers for V-Jax or Sidney Rice, it's the Browns. Might as well give McCoy the best shot to succeed as you can.

as a bengals fan i think ur wrong. the steelers and ravens will win this division 80%+ till the end of time. the browns and bengals might sneak a win in there once in a while then go right back to mediocrity. its just how the NFL works. -
I don't nescessarily disagree about McCoy, but there's a huge difference between how long teams will commit to 1st round QB's vs. non-1st round QB's. Talk to Jimmy Clausen or Chad Henne about it (technically neither has been displaced yet, but you get the idea); hell even Drew Brees fell victim to this. If a team with a young, non-1st round pick QB is losing and they have a chance to draft a potential stud, more times than not they usually do it.

I actually watched like 3 browns games... wasn't particulary impressed. He has an average arm, above average mobility and pretty good intangibles. Jury is still out obv I just don't see him being a top 10 QB in the league ever... maybe I'm wrong. As for Hillis he is a WHITE RB! for the sake of our race, I hope u are right, but if you wanna hitch your wagon to that be my guest. If he duplicates this year next year, again, I'll be surprised. I may not be a football genius or whatever but don't say I didn't watch any games this year, cuz that's basically all I did all season lol. The Browns are making strides for sure, I just don't think Colt Mccoy is a franchise QB. If I'm wrong I'll let you know in 3 years, deal.
