good to hear that you're investing in Sampson's cousin to help load balance the back-end of your architecture.

Cal, if you want to know the time frames of the slowness, go thru the deleted thread forum and look for my "duplicate post" deletions. When the site slows down it will make the posters double/triple post like crazy and they come in bunches. I'm sure we could get a time of day reference, a periodicity and the duration, atleast for the last week just by those deletions alone.

It always takes forever and a day to open the articles on the first page for me but other than that I really dont have many issues with OT. Well, actually theres this thing called smokerock that is always here.
-
My browsing hasn't been too bad. My issues come when I make a post. It seems to lag and then make a double post when it finally goes through.
-
I always have problems getting the front page articles to load correctly the first time. Other than that, pages load fairly quickly but I'm not nearly as impatient as many on here are
-
page load was slow, looked down, it was the twitter feed trying to load
firefox, most recent release -
Has nothing to do with impatience. I get double posts all the time from hitting the post button and the site just lagging. I am deleting my own double posts every day even though I never try to post twice.
-
ive noticed a slowdown recently but nothing worth complaining about (but it does take alot for me to complain about something)
-
Chrome working well for me.
-
loading articles takes more time then anything else for me..though the forums are still a bit slow and have been for a while now

I would like to add that the rabble rabbles all the rabble damn rabble.

I find that if I use a slow connection stuff plain old wont load. If you double or triple click a no loading link it works.
If I'm on my hi speed connect it loads but takes a while like 40% of the time the other 60% ots pretty decent.
It feels like some requests just dont get a good ping back unless they are very connected. -
Yea, in a way it seems like packet requests are having collisions in the router and the page load request either never makes it to the server, or it never makes it back from the server through the router.
If this were strictly internal traffic, back in my IT days I would have been looking for some kind of network collisions or some shit like that on my intranet network traffic. Do you guys have a sniffer? -
Smokerocks account is just clogging the server basically - Remove account and all our problems solved.

Dolphin your act is old.

They know whats wrong but can't fix it or else lose their presious "Features".
Curious as to what portal SW they are using.
Look to your right, 4 rankings lists and a live twitter feed, get rid of those rankings on the right and I bet problem goes away.
