  9. Ace-High Takes It For McNamara

Posted < 1 min. by TassieDevil
JD McNamara opened with a raise to 40,000 with Joseph Grenon his lone customer in the big blind.
They saw a flop of and both players checked. Again on the turn it went check, check before the completed the board on the river. Grenon decided to take a stab with a bet of 73,000 but McNamara looked him up and tabled for ace-high which was good as Grenon sheepishly mucked.
McNamara is up to 510,000 with Grenon back to 430,000.

  13. Cooler For Jeffrey

Posted < 1 min. by TassieDevil
In a preflop raising war James Jeffrey and JD McNamara got all in their chips into the middle. When the cards were flipped it was the classic cooler:
    Jeffrey:
    McNamara:
The board ran out and an ace on the river was salt into the wound as McNamara doubles through. He's now up to a commanding 856,000 as Jeffrey is down to 410,000 and back in the pack.

  17. Joseph Grenon - 23rd Place

Joseph Grenon started the day with the chip lead, but things turned south quickly for him. He raised to 40,000 from middle position, and John McNamara made it 110,000 to go from the cutoff. Grenon then four-bet to 240,000. McNamara shipped it in, and Grenon called all in with . McNamara turned over once again. The board didn't change much, and with his better three pair, McNamara busted Grenon and took over the chip lead with 1.58 million.
Grenon, who went deep in a previous no limit event this year and finished 15th in one last year, is stuck with a not-quite-final-table finish again and picks up $14,741 for his sixth WSOP cash.
