My phone was charging on the windowsill this past weekend above the sink. Buddy was doing the dishes and knocked the phone into said sink. Phone is pooched.
I already bought a new phone (Blackberry 9780 old phone - Motorola Axi something is new one) and im not going to ask him either way or let it cause any shit between us, but what would you guys do/expect? -
charge it farther away from the sink
-
rice rice baby
-
Wait until he's done before you put your penix on his back.
-
There wasn't a safer place to charge the phone? Like above the toilet? Or maybe hanging in the shower?
-
i usually just leave the money on the nightstand.
-
Bake the phone man it drys out and will work
-
dont try to turn it on. you will short it. wait til its been in rice for 2 days before you try to turn it on.
-
I told my 3 year old not to cross the busy street by himself and was only leaving him on the corner for 1 minute to buy a pack of cigarettes, why do such bad things happen to good people?
-
thanks for the help douches. great advice.
-
he hasnt mentioned it at all since it happened? nothing about how he messed it up? he just did it and hasnt said anything since? thats weird.
-
Not that this helps, but if I ruined a friends phone, I'd offer to replace it.

Serious advice has already been given up in here.

My serious advice: I dropped mine in the toilet. I fetched it out. I did a quick rinse to get the piss off (immediately after pulling out of piss filled toilet). Since I work at a pharmacy, I went and got some of the packets that are contained in medication containers to keep the pills dry (rice works just as well if you don't have these resources). Put those in a plastic bag, along with your phone. The longer you can leave the phone and rice/packets in the bag & wait to use the phone, the better.
The rice (or drying packets) is your best option to draw the condensation out of the phone.
This has already been said in the thread. I don't know what else you want. -
I wouldn't expect anything...I'm not sure what advice you're looking for.
People have given you a way to not buy a new phone, but you apparently didn't read.
Your buddy shouldn't be at fault for knocking your phone into the sink because you decided to charge it there... -
who the fuck charges a phone above the sink?
-
i love that song

Haha ok ok obv didn't read about you already buying a new one without trying to fix the old one - try the rice bag, if it works, you shouldnt expect anything, you shoulda tried this first - if you aren't going to say anything about it and don't want it to affect your friendship, then truly just let it go - since you came and made a thread about it, it obv bothers you a bit that he didn't offer to help pay for the new phone - chalk it up to an accident and don't charge your phone near water in the future
-
Seriously though, charge your new phone in the same spot again and see if your friend learned his lesson.
-
what the fuck buddy boy? you let me shake your hand after that?
