    Hi guys, I have an idea for a business that i want to see what you guys think. Well basically my brother and I have created a Fantasy football trophy from our NO MA'AM league. This is a prototype type and the final product will be made out of metal.

    This is a beer stein that holds two beers, and yes that is AL BUNDY on the top of it. We need to fix his letter men jacket so the P for POLK high stands out. Its a trophy and a cup. This is the prototype.

    We can make any type of custom trophy.

    We arent selling this one, this is just for our league.

    I introduced trophies in both my keeper leagues when I won. Showed up at the next year's draft with it blinging. It increased the intensity 1000%, they want the throphy more than the money.

    My suggestion is it needs to be like the Stanley Cup, where the championship team is put on it and eventually the thing grows to epic proportions, with past champions always displayed.

    We started with like a 8" base and had to add a second 12" base as we are in season 9. Yes, I am a huge fantasy geek.

    1st of all what is the idea? offer customizable trophies to people?

    If that is the case, your market is much broader than FFB.

    How much does it cost you, to make the prototype? (assuming you have unlimited access to said machine, for a price i'm sure)

    How much does it cost you to make the actual trophy? (obv depends on size and desired material, but you see what mean)

    Now how much will you have to charge for the trophy to pay your expenses, and cover your hourly rate?

    When you get that number, you will have a better idea of the trophy's marketability. $30-60 per trophy huge market.. $500+ much smaller market.

    Thanks for you input, i have been thinking about those things. I just wanted to see if people liked the idea before i started to get more in depth with the idea. Thanks though. The resources arent a problem.

    I was also thinking a custom piece for a grooms men gift wouldnt be a bad market either.

    Im just looking for opinions and what not.

    This is just the first prototype, it will only get better from here.

    If you only have access to a prototype machine right now, maybe there is way to market "prototype design/creation". That way it will all be profit, let the customers be creative. They can find manufactures on their own.

    your whole market would be how odd you could make them, and if people cared to be that creative.

    trophy companies already can make quite a bit of different stuff, and have a huge list to pick from

    fwiw, one dude in our league bought a trophy the year we won, and it has sat at the shop the past three years because the winners didnt care. myself being one of them

    the ? is could you drink a beer out of that trophy? :) just playing thanks for the info. The good thing is that he did buy one and thats all that i would be looking for. The cup would be made out of a nice metal and would look pretty legit.
