Buying & Exporting a Handgun from US to Canada

    I just got my PAL (Possession and Acquisition License) with restricted certification from the Canadian Government and am planning on visiting my folk in AZ for a week or so.

    Does anyone know if I would be able to buy a handgun while there and courier it back to myself?

    Would a store sell one to a Canadian resident? Is there a waiting period?

    Looking to save myself a few bucks as it seems to be a fair bit cheaper south of the border.

    You can own a handgun in Canada? I always assumed there was no need for such a thing. Can't really hunt with them.

    Why not? My grandfather hunted for years with a handgun after he had a stroke and lost most of the use of his left hand. He was hunting deer by the way and did nab a few over the years with that gun.

    If your going to be in AZ just make a trip to Mexico and try to get some guns left behind by Eric Holder and his buddies. Probably can get them for free.

    If we're only offending guys with use of one hand it shouldn't be a problem to ban em. I fucking hate guns though so prolly a bad opinion to go off of

    To kill a deer with a handgun you would have to be pretty close to put it down. IMO you would probably more often wound the deer, then it would die on its own a few days later. High powered rifle ftw.

    It was as powerful as some rifles. I'm no gun expert so I don't really know but all he did was sit at a stand and I assume he was a good shot. He had hunted his whole life and if I had to guess had killed over 100 deer. Venison sausage is so yummy...

    X2 on guns being pointless in canada.

    Can't hunt anything worthwhile, thus no need.

    might be able to snag a partridge or wild turkey with a HG, but thats about it.

    I'm a gun owner (multiple guns, actually), and many times when I meet some randoms at the range or talk to other gun owners outside of my close friends/family I think "FFS guns should probably be outlawed." Maybe I have bad luck, cause I've met a bunch of g'damn idiots over the years.

    edit: Before dyz jumps in a multi-quotes my post, this is naturally just my irrational thought and not an actual policy recommendation.

    lol at dingus with the AA 12! really nice weapon but did he just shoot like 300 rounds of 12 gauge with no ears on? not to mention eyes. did i just not see them?
