  1. This seems impossible to do. Has anyone bought a cell phone as a present for someone who currently has a cell phone... I mean, I dont want to buy a Blackberry or whatever I choose for 4-500 dollars for a person that could get an upgrade and is on an existing plan. How do I get around this? Can I get the upgrade for the person and pay whatever the difference would be?

How do I go about doing this?

This seems like a huge hassle.

  7. That told me nothing. They make it seem much easier than it actually is to accomplish.

Thanks anyways though... I'll drive down to BestBuy now and let you know how it went.

  8. lol k..glad i could help

  9. Yeah, theres absolutely no chance of this happening. Theyre not even allowed to access the account to tell me if the person is eligible for an upgrade. And even if they are, they would have to agree to the upgrade because Im not under their account(which makes sense, but is ridiculous as it makes it pretty much impossible for an X-Mas gift) and cant make any decisions on it.

    F cellphone gifts.

Anyone know any loopholes around this?

  10. See what the return policy is. Maybe buy the phone and give it to her and if it doesnt work out take it back. Thats the only thing I could tell ya.
  11. write on a little card: "Good for a new celly/upgrade" then do it together.
