    LOL @ regular season success....lol @ hockey fans who think about Stanley Cups before April.

    Wake me up when the real season starts, you just gotta get in the Final 8 in each conference the teams are so close that just getting in gives you a chance.

    Or you can ask San Jose Shark fans how it feels to award your team the Cup in January, February or March.

    At the moment, caps are 1st and panthers are 8th in east. You think these teams are "close" talent wise?

    Obv goaltending will define caps postseason but when this team plays to its potential nobody in the east is better.

    Yes, yes I do think they are close.

    Caps aren't going to beat the Panthers 8-2 in 4 straight games...last year the Ducks finished 26 points behind the Sharks beat them 4-2 in the first round.

    Caps are the most balanced team in hockey and if they can stay healthy are gonna be tough to beat.

    But caps are notorious for choking in playoffs so we'll see.

    Ovie will hoist a cup tho.

    Really? lol...like you make no sense? Did someone call the Pittsburgh Penguins a "bitch"...

    Crosby is also the only player to routinely be called a "bitch" for some reason by people who don't understand the game and his role as "captain" (funny thing, watch how much Ovi now "talks" to the refs...or Mike Richards for that fact Flyer fans).

    Just understand the game, understand that 4 years ago Crosby was an 18 year old getting bashed around in the NHL when he'd rarely been hit in Junior hockey, of course he was expecting more calls, etc. Ovechkin didn't back check for his entire rookie season, like literally barley went past his blueline, does anyone now think that Ovechkin isn't a great all around player in every zone?

    He's now 22, he's been around long enough to understand the game, seriously it gets pretty annoying listening to uninformed hockey fans.

    I could care less what the Penguins or the Caps do in the playoffs honestly. Ovechkin is one of the few players from another team that I enjoy watching though, whereas Crosby makes me sick.

    So then, tell me, can an opinion be uninformed? I just don't like Crosby...I think he's a bitch...didn't you ever just not like someone?

    he's most def one of the best skilled players I have ever seen play the game.

    No need to remind me....ugh.

    And if I were a Caps fan, I'd be seriously worried at this point about the goaltending situation. Your top two goalies are injured, and you've got two extremely young prospects (well, 3 really if you include Varlamov) at the helm for the time being.

    I know Varlamov is supposed to be healthy soon, but his injury has been a nagging one and if he's not playing in the playoffs I really don't think they go that for on Theodore's shoulders.

    Real question is wtf is going on with Varlamov?

    Groin turned into knee and now apparently he hasn't even skated for over 10 days. He was supposed to skate yesterday but they pushed it back, not sure what happened this morning.

    If Theo is #1 in playoffs shits gonna get real interesting.
