  1. This is simply the best horror movie in years. If you don't see it you are doing yourself a disservice. If you want an in-depth review wait for skeeze, that's cool. Or you could just go see it on my word. It's like your choice, which will be wrong if you don't go see it, but man I can't live life for you ya know.
  2. Was all of this work done on your own except for links with references?
  3. What you a narc or something?

  5. Ive never been a fan of horror films. But the new set of trailers that they have out have made me interested in seeing it.

I just really hate the pop out scare you shit. Drives me nuts and I dont understand how people enjoy it. It like if I walk in a room and someone jumps out behind the door and yells. All i want to do is punch them in the face.

Same here. The Ring was the last movie I paid to see like this. That movie scared the fuck out of me.

You imply that's a bad thing but damn when else can I yell at white people while secretly anticipating with great excitement their death?

  12. I'm only reading good things so far... so yeah... that's all I got.
  13. It was an interesting movie. I thought it was more funny than scary and all though it was a little entertaining at times I did not like the movie overall.
    Like a 4.5/10

  14. lol @ best horror movie in years like that means anything. Yea it got 93% on RT and all the critics are drooling over it but that's only b/c it's a modern 80's b horror film. All the old school guys will love it. Not as good as i hoped although i'm no sure what i hoped for, but def enertaining and wortht he watch.

i saw the ring in a theater that was mostly black and the theaters reaction when she pops out of the TV near the end is something I will always cherish(same goes for yoda/dooku fight in II)

That scene is one of the all time creepiest scenes in movie history. That weird walk that she does gets me everytime.

Thanks for the spoiler alert jerk! Next time why don't you just tell us that it was Fredo and it broke Michael's heart?
  18. Saw this last night. I'm a huge horror fan and was somewhat disappointed. It was entertaining and had some funny scenes, but there weren't many scares. I think it's a bit overrated.

I saw The Ring the second day it was out and the theater was packed. The stranger next to me said, just before the movie started, "I saw it last night and it freaked me out so bad I had to come back again..." I'll never forget him saying that. And I'm not a horror movie guy at all so I was already a little nervous about watching so of course after he said that I knew I was in serious shit. I was so fucking sweaty by the time the movie was over. My palms sweat just from seeing it listed on the channel guide when it comes on HBO. Holy shit I'm a pussy.
  21. Saw it yesterday. Hadn't seen one preview or read anything about it, so I think that helped make it seem better. I defintely wouldn't call it a horror movie. I went in thinking it was going to be like Texas Chainsaw Massacre from the title, but it really is more of a mix of Cube Zero, The Box, Saw, and American Pie. Kind of a weird combo, but definitely a decent movie.
  22. i hate these types of movies i cant remember the last time i paid someone to scare the shit out of me....but the high ratings on rotten tomatoes have me interested
  23. I wouldn't go in thinking it's a typcial "scary" movie. really more of a psychological thriller with some elements of scary movie fare.
  24. On the subject of the ring, I liked it so much I named my daughter Samarra
  25. When the horse jumps in the water the movie jumps the shark and after you're done laughing you can't take it seriously anymore.(The Ring)

I don't think the movie itself is scary. There are definitely some great creepy scenes and that TV scene is top top on the creepiness scale.

This. One of the great things about midnight showings is that the crowd is full of fans/dorks that are really into the movie. The theater I was at broke into applause/cheers when Yoda walked onscreen for that fight. It was, by far, the best part of that film.
  30. Didn't care for the movie. Also didn't help that I was sitting next to a gangbanger, his wife, and his two daughters, ages six and four. Aside from bringing kids that young to a movie like this being pretty fucked up, the guy was letting them run all through the aisles talking basically nonstop. The younger one burst into tears three times during the more violent scenes and when my friend politely asked if they would quite down, the guy tried to trip her and then his wife called her a rat. Later, when I politely suggested that they move down to the lower seating area where there were far less people seated, he cursed me out. After the movie, when everyone was leaving the theatre, the guy stared me down for a good seven seconds (long enough for me to look at him, look away, look back at him, realize that his scalp was heavily tatted, and then walk away). My friend reported him to the Regal theatre people twice during the movie, but the ushers, either due to incompetence or a keen sense of self-preservation, twice walked up the wrong side of the theatre. Anyway, got a refund afterward, which I used the next day on 21 Jump Street
