  1. Thoughts.... Opinions....

    Which has the best HDTV
  2. had direct tv since it 1st came out... I <3 it

7 rooms in my house wired for tv, bought an 8 was splitter and viola' satellite in every room.

their new HD reciever is crap tho :/

I do have the cable internts now tho....it pwns
  3. I have HD cable my dad has HD sat. He does not get the local stations in HD. I had to hook up a big giant roof antenna so he could get the local stations in HD. There is a sattelite company I think its called voom and all of the channels they have are HD. With comcast I have 15 HD channels and I watch all of them. It's gotten to the point for me that if its not on in HD I dont watch it!
  4. Currently

    Dish Network (29)

    Comcast (Tied)(7-16)
    Direct TV (Tied)(12)

As soon as DTV launches a few more birds this summer/fall they are promising 150 national HD channels. Dish(29 channels) currently has the advantage since they bought bankrupt Voom's HD bandwidth. I'm not sure that the Weather channel/Food channel should count in the HD channel tally but they do. If you like sports, purchase any MPEG-4 equipment from DTV & you will be happy.
  5. I Bought a $25.00 HDTV Antenna at Circuit City and hooked it up to my tv. I now get 11 HD channels for free. Charter Cable wanted to charge me and extra $25 a month for their crappy HD package.
  6. I love DirecTv. I pay an extra $11/month and get quite a few HD channels, plus all the local channels in HD without an antenna. It's def. worth it. Plus, isn't NFL Sunday Ticket a DirectTv exclusive?

  7. Yea, most of the HD packages contain terrible channels that are included in their lists but blow.
Direct TV offers HBO, Showtime, ESPN (+2), UHD, TNT, DSHD, HDNM & HDN as the top channels in the package. A couple of PPV & PPV porn on weekends are also included. Local sports (RSN/ComcastSports/Fox) are also available in most major markets.

DTV will be offering things like USA, TBS, CMAX, stars, Encore, TMC, MTV, DIS, etc.....this summer.

The current $8 to $25 HD packages all blow & are only worth it if you have the spare money. If you are in range of broadcast reception in a major market that is still the best (& cheapest) way to go.
  8. Yeah, Causus is right, who needs Food Network in HD anyway? Gimme my PLayboy in HD plz!!
  9. No On Demand with satellite.
  10. Dish has VOD, DTV is launching VOD at the azz end of its 150 national HD promotion, probably Christmas 2007 at the earliest.

A very good forum for HDTV junkies.
