    I know there are a lot of guys in the car business in OT. If you wouldn't mind helping I would appreciate it.

    I was about to get a used car and it fell through so now I am going to bite the bullet and get a new one. I have settled on a Tahoe. The sticker $ is 47,107

    there is 1K bonus cash and 0% APR from Chevy right now.

    They want to charge me $44,617

    I am sure I can do better but how much better?

    I upgraded to 20 Inches rims for 1.4 K, that is why the price I mentioned is higher.

    Honestly here is the best advice anyone can give you. A new car is the worst investment you will ever make in your life. dont do it. i sold cars for 3 years not talking out of my arse.

    I think spending 45 K on a new tahoe is rediculious when you could go buy a few year old sweet ass ride for 45k not a tahoe

    I have had an SUV for the last 4 years and am also about to purchase a new vehicle and it wont be an SUV.... think fuel efficient

    We own 2 Chevy stores and I can get you the exact cost and incentives available, not only to the customer, but to the dealer as well.

    I gaurantee the one that fell thru isnt the only used Tahoe on the market.

    Buy a slightly used BIG CHEVY TRUCK and stick 20k in your pocket so your homies can oooh and ahhhh when you flash your roll as they admire your 20 inch rims.

    Or drive the new 47k Tahoe off the lot, lose about 20k in value within 2 years, and watch the hotties run off with the guy in the 38k beemer.

    Don't dooooooooooo it! Chevy's drop "like a rock". You are much better buying a pre owned Chevy. If you want to go new lease it. There are tons of Chevy Tahoes on the market. I can find you one in 1 day very easily with gas prices the way they are right now the Tahoe market is very soft which means you can get one cheap. Better yet ask brsavage he runs a Chevy store I think.

    most expensive base tahoe looks to be 38k go to www.edmunds.com this is the pricing guide you should fill everything out and get a quote from your area and it is pretty solid tool for car buying

    Its not like it is a terrible truck or something.

    I was going to get a used one from a guy I know, but he decided to keep it. I would rather not buy a car from someone I don't know.

    If anyone would like to get me some info on a used can I would be more than appreciative.

    My Girl already has a BMW. I need an SUV.

    Edit - it is a LT3 with DVD etc....

    I second this thought. I have sold cars in the past, worked the finance on anything you can think of , teach financial planning.

    Buying a new car is a horrible idea. buy a used Tahoe and put the rims you want on it. Your truck is going to look used in a year no matter how it looked when you bought it. You're just going to kill yourself w/ the depreciation.

    buy used and plug the difference into a IRA invested in a conservative mutual fund. you'll thank me 30 years from now.

    car payment suck to be honest with i would get as cheap as possible, unless u can comfortably afford to do it. that is the car dealers job is to get to spend 25k more than u had planned

    Don't get me wrong the Tahoe is a great SUV. It is just a bad financial decision to buy it brand new. Go used or lease.

    hate hummers.

    Do like Yukons and Escalades though. Pref black with tan interior.

    Don't need huge pimp rims, just something that looks clean and nice.

    You do not need an SUV, you want one.

    Here is a list of all the things you NEED: air, food, water, some form of shelter.

    Everything else is a want.
    The faster you learn the difference between what you need (4 things), and what you want (everything else), the better off you will be.

    Actually, the house market is almost as irrational as the car market. It is often actually cheaper to build a brand new custom house than to buy an existing home. Plus, by building new you get a house with exactly what you want.

    I am a BMW X5 guy. If I were choosing between Tahoe and an Eskie it would be the Eskie. I am partners with that dealership link I sent you. If you find something that you like let me know. Always glad to help out. Utter also runs a Caddy store he might have something as well.
