reminds me of a story where my friend told me that her car wouldnt start. Turns out the positive terminal was just loose on the battery. I told her that her G-bolts were defective and she'd have to replace all 5 at a cost of about $150 each. She freaked the fuck out! But I just tightened up the terminal and told her I was messing around. She didnt find that too funy.......

so was it just low on turn signal fluid?
-
the tires prolly just need to be rotated
-
You sure you've got all 1.21 jiggawatts in it?
-
huge lol at all the clueless ppl itt throwing out "alternator".
Nothing "bad" can come from jumping a charged battery. Your battery could possibly not have enough amperage to crank the starter but batteries usually dont just go out this way. It is like 95% your starter, 5% some electrical bullshit (possibly starter relay). gl -
get a boost and when running take off the neg battery wire and if it dies u need new alterna8or. easiest way to find out is drive to mechanic and get your battery checked proly cost u 10$ unless u can find a coupon or some shit lol. if u boost yer car and drive it around long eng the alterna8or charges the battery if the next day u go to start it and it doesnt start the battery is fuked and u need a new 1. its usually the battery in my experiance. pm i will help u more if u have more questions.

I doubt the headlights would be working if it is the alternator. I go with starter.

How do you guys come up with alternator problem right away?
Edited By: RichardHurtz May 12th, 2011 at 04:29 PM
We have no idea how old the battery is.
We know the car won't turn over. That is because either the battery is dead or the starter is bad.
True the battery might be dead cause the alternator is bad.
As others said, Jump it, drive it and see if battery chargers.
Is it a maintenance free battery? If not does the battery have proper fluid level?
How old is the battery? Corrosion on the terminals?
Batteries do weird shit sometimes. -
Your fluffanator probably isn't connected to your guglameter. Or, as previously mentioned, could be the Johnson rod.

You guys all fucked this up big time....
It was just the battery and jumping it worked to get me to the shop and they replaced it there as it wouldn't start without a jump.
I'm really disappointed OT -
Screw you, I told you that you had the cables on poorly 2 days ago!

-
Now your car is working I hope you drive it off a cliff you ungrateful son of a bitch !

sometimes those greasy mechanics will try to sell you a 74 amp battery with a rapid charge feature.... as long as your alternator is built after 2003 this will do nothing but cost you an extra hundred bucks or so... go for the standard 45 amp battery .... imo
