I went to the autowash today, and it was one of those ones that has 2 giant arms suspended from the ceiling that turn 360 degrees around your car. They crisscross at the very front and rear of the car as they go around. On the first pass (the pre soak) the inner arm caught my mirror on the passenger side and nearly ripped it off. So when they got to the front of the car to cross i quick rolled the window down to pull the mirror in....but it was such bad timing cause at the same time the soap dispensers on the side kicked on and literally shot me right in the eye. Now I know how that chick felt during senior week in 1991 -
most of the time, i just go to one of the automatic washes - a lot of our gas stations have them. if it's a real nice day in the summer, and i have the time to kill, i'll take it to a do it yourself kind of place.

Like an old person, it depends.
Autowashes are for peeps with shitty cars tho (bc of the damage) -
I'm trying to think of an other that didn't fit the other requirements. Who voted other and explain yourselves...

what a waste of water just wait for it to rain

pay someone else.

Whenever i wash it myself it always takes an hour and never comes out as good as when I take it somewhere at pay $12 to have it done in ten minutes. Way worth my time to just go to a car wash. The automatic ones are a liability like others have said. Had the weather stripping ripped off my truck one time. It sucks because I didn't notice til the next day because it was on the passenger side so I didn't even try to get them to pay for it.

automatic, then use those free vacuums to clean out the insides (dont be a dick and make it like 75 cents for 12 seconds)
-
I pay a Mexican to wash mine.
-
Both the auto and do-it-yourself at the car wash options are bad for your car. I wouldn't worry unless you drive something nice tho.

This place rapes. You pull up to a track, put your car in neutral and the machine pulls your car through what is a very thorough car wash. It even scrubs and armor alls your tires.
Me and the kids like to roll down the windows and play hurricane through the dryer section.
Free vac with wash is only $10. It does a better job in 4 minutes than I could do manually in 30+ minutes.
Good times. -
I might spray it off at the carwash in winter, maybe once or twice. In the summer, I wash it myself at home.
LOL women car owners. Put gas in, turn key. -
Mine only gets a wash when it goes in for a service, they wash it before returning it.
