Mich could have been higher if D-Mo doesnt go pro. watch out for trey burke fyi
-
uconn too low
cuse is a problem this year -
I will come out with my Sweet 16 and Final 4 in the next week or so.
UNC,Kentucky, UConn, Vandy, Florida, and Ohio State all deserve a preseason top 10 ranking.
Altho only 2 of those will reach my final 4 -
Gonzaga will be sick this year, 23 seems too low. And I don't say that every year. Not sure if they have a go-to player yet but they have tons of talent. WCC is actually somewhat legit now with Gonzaga, St. Mary's and BYU.
-
Vandy is legit - would be shocked if they don't make a serious Final 4 bid.
-
Zags will be solid but unless Gary Bell steps up as a freshman i question there guard and wing play.

There is no doubt they have one of the best frontcourts in the nations but i just dont see them has a sweet 16 team. -

hi. im here to homer for the next 5 months.
-
Looking forward to your next installment pluv im very interested on the discussion on a few teams Memphis being one.
the "new" ACC has 4 teams in top 10 -
I'll admit I don't really follow CBB closely until the tournament, but I'm really excited to see what Memphis can do this year. All of their top young guys return as a more experienced unit (namely Joe Jackson, the Barton brothers, and Tarik Black) and they got one hell of a Freshman this year in Adonis Thomas. They may not be much of a threat this year, but if these guys decide to stick around they'll be contenders for the next few years imo.

It was nice when Maryland was relevant in the national scene

pluv- what's the point of predicting a sweet sixteen now, makes no sense to me. Final four maybe, but sixteen seems silly.
Minnesota is like Gonzaga....monsters in the frontcourt and little at the guards...can suprise if they find one to step up.
Butler will struggle a little early imo like last year..altho not as much..by mid year they will be playing well and will be a tough out come tourney time
I love the talent that Memphis has but Josh Patner is alot like Scott Drew imo....dynamo recruiters who have yet to prove themselves as a gameday or x and o coach. Drew is getting better but Pastner is still learning.Originally Posted by Popperhead

hmm...not sold on Turgeon as a recruiter...but he can coach with the best of em.
Hard to bet against C.J. McCollum but Bucknell only lost 1 league game last year and returns 4 starters. Book them as conference champs but come tourney time C.J. just might carry Lehigh to the dance. -
Alabama at #19?
I dont even! -
without bias, ill say that FLORIDA wins it all.
-
The front court is obviously their strength but they have pretty good depth in the backcourt with Carter, Bell, Stockton and Pangos. Maybe I'm overrating them because I always love Gonzaga guards (well except for Jeremy Pargo, worst player ever) but I think there is a lot of talent here. They'll probably struggle at times this year since they're so young, but the future looks good. If they're ever getting back to the elite eight it seems like next year is their best shot.

Kentucky is too low
-
Lol how? Which team on that list should be higher then Kentucky that isn't? UConn at #4 I don't like at all. Louisville at #9 ??? I'd be highly surprised if Louisville is a top 10 team. Peyton Siva is solid but not on that level. The rest of the team is VERY mediocre. Chane Behanon is a freshman and undersized at his position will still be solid. Wayne Blackshear fractured his shoulder and is out for the season. It's hard to underestimate Rick's coaching ability though, too bad he can't recruit worth a shit. -
pitino has built a seattle pipeline.

he has done wonders in helping terrence williams and siva mature as men. those two needed to get out of the seattle area.
the next one might be anrio adams who might be the most talented of the three -
harvard got votes, like yeah i know they are good but top 25? come on, man
-
no chance my tigers finish the season ranked :(.
-
most meaningless ranking of each season.
someone research how many preseason non - top 25 teams on average appear in the tourney sweet 16 and get back to me.
