  1. can someone explain the cut steve-o joke, i wanna laugh too
  2. the 80's rock band Great White (famous for such songs as, "The Angel Song, Mr. Bone, and Once Bitten Twice Shy;" played in a small club and set off pyrotechnics that set fire to the establishment, killing many people.

OT needs a 'google is your friend' award.
  4. the comedians come up with their own material. some may used already established jokes and tweak them or borrow something but mostly they are coming up with their own material. the people who arent comedians (steve-o, shatner) probably had a huge majority of their jokes written for them. if not all of them. Not sure why you're going off about a bunch of people reading scripts. you're trying to be a smart ass and a know it all but you look like an idiot cause its clear you have no idea what you are talking about. I mean fuck man, most of them are comedians. Common sense would tell you they're probably coming up with their own shit.

and patrice oneal acts like that all the time. thats his style or whatever you wanna call it. he does it all the time in his act.

I can't remember who it was for, but I remember on one of the roasts, a non-comedian had Whitney Cummings write their jokes...and Whitney was also doing stand-up at the roast.

    I'd assume that's pretty commonplace.
  6. mightve been said before but damn whoever was in charge really fucked this up. this couldve been some of the best comedy ever if they really included funny men from years ago that know Charlie. it wouldnt have mattered if they were washed up or not. instead they display some "up and coming" comedians that can only joke on his reputation. some jokes were good but it doesnt matter. someone from any of his movies or old close friends wouldve been perfect and real. i feel we could round up 10 or 12 guys at ot to burn him pretty good.

and that ryan dunn joke was completely called for. he had to hear about it once. thats what a roast is all about. I think losing a child or (nonceleb) parent is only thing off limits. if it was such a big deal he shouldve told the roasters preshow. hes just too stupid

I always figured the comedians at the roast probably wrote a lot of the stuff for the non comedians but i didnt really know and i didnt wanna say it in my last post cause i wasnt really sure. i just kind of assumed it.

not according to Kajun $endz...and he apparently knows exactly how these things work.

    ................
  9. Im probably wrong but i noticed lsufan caught on like really fast. i remember when he starting posting i thought it was weird how fast he kind of blended in and became in the know. this was before people starting accusing him of being kajun. Im probably way off and im not saying i think he is kajun but i honestly noticed that. it usually takes people a while before they get it or transform into a typical OTer but the transformation was so fast it stuck out to me.

    herppp derppppp

i said i dont know why everyone like it SO MUCH. why u idiots care what i think is even funnier. jesus get a life

to say that 80% of that show is not scripted is fucktarded. im looking for the clip i heard it off of by Kat williams so i can post it for u fools.

if by scripted you mean that the roastmaster comes up and introduces each stand-up in a particular order...then yes.

if by scripted you mean that the real comedians have jokes written for them and are reading directly off of the teleprompter...then no, you're a retard.
  12. I saw the stand up where Katt Williams was acting like he was all pissed at the flava flav roast. he was trying to save face cause a lot black people dont know about roasts and they just see a bunch of white people telling racist jokes. even if they did im not sure they still would be cool with it. he cant explain that during his stand up so to save face he throws it under the bus and plays dumb like he didnt know what was going on. he fucking knew what he was getting into. and if he didnt he is an idiot. i remember that part of his stand up and it was clear as day what he was doing. no fucking way he didnt understand the concept of a roast before he decided to host one. and im sure the 80% if thats the number he threw out was way exaggerated for affect.

LOL...wow. Didn't know this as i'm sure a lot of others didn't. That's pretty fucking hilarious
  14. The last few roasts have sucked, and part of the problem is the people doing the roasting suck about as bad as the people being roasted. There are a thousand more deserving people than Flava flav. I can see Sheen, he had a fucking hit sitcom and several comedy movies....but Flava Flav or however you say his name, Donald Trump, Pamela Anderson, David Hasslehoff, I mean Christ. Bob Saget was never funny. Fucking roast someone worthy. Not Larry the Cable Guy. yeah its a "Celebrity" roast...then pick a god damn worthy celebrity. Not someone in the twighlight of their career and making it in the tabloids more often then on TV. Just put together a panel of relevant and edgy comedians and let them go to town ffs

  15. I really hope you find that clip. That guy is a lunatic, but I guarantee he does not say what you apparently think he does. Just think about it for a minute. Why would comedy central hire unknown comedians to read this script? I wouldn't be shocked if Seth Macfarlan had someone help him with jokes, though. He has a ton of talking to do. That's similar to being the host of an awards show and it's standard for those guys to get help writing.

You thought you had a piece of information that most others did not so you forced a comment (I'm referring to the lol "I can't believe you guys like that show. It's scripted") to let us know about it. You likely misheard or misinterpreted something about how the celebrities on the roasts have jokes written for them or maybe something about how there is a teleprompter (I don't know if there is). You must realize this now as it makes no sense, but for some reason your defending this obviously retarded claim. I would advise you to just log off and fight another day, but it's hysterical what a condescending douche you are being about something that you are so very clearly wrong about.

The biggest problem is finding someone who wants to be roasted. People in the highlight of their career are bringing in paychecks and arent looking for a quick easy buck. Thats why you get people at the end of their career or marginal entertainers. Same thing with DWTS, you just arent going to get too many top notch Hollywood elite.

  17. if that shit was scripted there are some writers who deserve to be fired or executed in this case.

you can't be real....why would they hire unknown comics to write their own shit? they are unknown for a reason.....

lol @ defending, u asked what i meant, i told you and you said, " oh u didnt say that" when i clearly said everything in my 1st post that i did in the second one tho. But i forgot u work for comedy central and know everything. my bad.

keep trying to argue on the internet tho, its becoming of you....keep up the good fight

    dots (many)

reread this thread when you are sober and it will all be clear to you.
  22. Jesus...no shit someone else wrote Mike Tyson's roast...no we thought he came up with that homer line for seth all by himself. He probably doesn't even know what family guy is. That said, people like Jeff Ross, Lampenelli, Greg Giraldo, Godfried, etc THE CORE ROASTERS all write their own shit so who gives a fuck?

How is he associated with Charlie Sheen? It's just a bunch of B-C list celebrities reading lame jokes from a teleprompter and everybody else fake laughing.

2 out of the 3 guys you picked are actually friends of Sheen's. Friends have always been a key part of any roast going back to the Friar's club classics.

  24. I stopped watching midway through, cause it sucked

But how MILFtastic is Kate Walsh? Sexiest Ginger woman ever?

aaaaah, no peg, saget is quite funny, a comedians' comedian, ainec.

and he crushed it in that roast.
  26. Anthony Jeselnik is a fucking hilarious stand up and his style lends itself perfectly for roasts. Anyone who thinks he wasn't the best up there clearly wasn't watching the only person laughing at some of his jokes, Patrice Oneal. He didn't give a fuck about anyone watching he was doing jokes purely for comedians and people with actual senses of humor.
  27. it was one joke. you make it sound like his whole act was that way. but yeah, he was good
  28. Kate has some of the nicest legs possible for a women of her age. she has better legs than most 20 year olds

  29. what is this 1960? who the fuck cares about legs? I mean I get it but come on..

  30. Just watched this, Sheen was the best. Ross and Seth were good too. Don't get the love for Jessilnik, he sucked. And lol @ whoever thought the comedians don't write their own material.
