  1. So I have two cell phone lines - One that I don't use that the contract just expired on and the one i use daily that has 2.5 years left on the contract. I called into Bell today to cancel the other one and they gave me a pretty sweet offer that i'd rather have over my current plan.

I have an iPhone 3G on my plan now that i lost my Blacbkberry Bold a month or two ago. I put an ad up on craigslist saying that i was winning to give my iPhone away if someone takes over the contract. I think its a fair deal, but who knows....

So I have had one person interested that I felt was legit, he emailed me back and we had some dialogue going etc... Great. I was planning on meeting him next week when i go to Vancouver and switching it over.

Now, the odd thing is that i have got about 6 emails that say -
'I am interested in taking over your contract, please call me at XXX-XXX-XXXX' for example. They are all local Vancouver numbers, and i have called a couple almost sure they are being scams, but I can't figure out how they are going to do it. I told them they could meet me at the bell store and that was the only way i would do it, and they seemed ok with that.

I just find it odd that you get a reply like that. 1/8 people replies with an email question.... Nobody tells you to call nowadays, especially not 7/8 people.
  2. Damn - It's a mystery then. I can't figure it out.

  3. I get wierd things all day from my craiglists posts. Getting way more spam offers than real customers. Sign of the times I guess.
