Hey all, I have a quick question I would like to pose. Which cell phone companies offer the most affordable plans? I am buying a new cell phone, but I do not need it for heavy use. Also, I will be moving to California, so which service providers work best in NorCal? My thanks to anyone who is willing to help.

norcal has some weird cell phone chit that is for local (i think its metro pcs) i dunno, i never got that because major companies that work everywhere have decent plans for like 40 bucks after their taxes (might be cheaper ones too) and i drove all over back then, so i just went with that. i have a rad plan now but its discounted cuz im rad...but you will use it more then what you plan on. if you really don't think you're gonna use it much, get one of those pay as you go phones, since those are really cheap and you just reload mins when you get low

wow- tyvm. You're right, I will probably be using it more than i think, as I am moving to SF, and cell phones are wicked useful in big cities.
-
yeah i said id never use it, but i ended up with like 200 dollar phone bills, so i uped my plan. now i never use it but doesn't matter, not my money

It's pretty much a commodity. $40-$100 a month. Any provider. Pick your poison.
I like Sprint/Nextel for free incoming calls.
