  1. Football: For me this is easy. Take away the no celebration penalty. I am all for sportsmanship & taunting shouldn't be tolerated but I think players should be able to celebrate w/o gettin penalized (esp in college)

Basketball: Advancement of ball after a timeout. This drives me fucking nuts... Inbound the ball wherever it went out at or under basket after a made shot and on the side after a rebound.

Baseball: I want a DH in both leagues or the pitcher hitting in both leagues, I really don't have a preference which

Golf: U should be able to move the ball out of a divot in the fairway... If u hit a perfect drive, I don't think u shd be punished

  2. without much thought

    nfl- agree with op

nba- less timeouts?, something to make the last 2 minutes of a game not go 30 minutes

baseball- challenge flag like the nfl, if ur wrong u cant use it again in the game, if ur right u can. also more balanced scedule or playoff reformat. i dunno how it would be done, but sucks being the 6th or 7th best team in the majors and 4th best in ur division. signed, disgruntled jays fan

nhl- no shootouts, 4 on 4 for 5 minutes, then 3 on 3 for 5 minutes, then 2 on 2 till a goal, would rarely if ever go more than 20 minutes, much more entertaining than a shootout and much more pure.

  3. NFL - I also agree about the celebration penalty, dumb shit.

NBA - Less timeouts I also agree. The last 2 minutes of any televised basketball game takes forever.

MLB - Instant replay please Ty.

NHL - Abolish the 3 point game. A loss is a loss, no way a point should be awarded for an overtime loss.

by your post i rly cant decipher if your agreeing with me or not. lol, but they are looking at this rule change. but it would be 4 on 4 for 3 then 3 on 3 for 3 then 2 on 2 for 3 .

but rly how sick would it be too see toews and kane vs backstrom and ovie or crosby and malkin or hall and gagner or richards and carter in 2 on 2 when theres something at stake. god the highlight reels would be insane

they are "experimenting" with it. I dont see 2 vs 2 ever happening, but 3 on 3 might happen sooner than later. Personally i say stop changing the game. play 5 on 5 for 20 more minutes and if it ends in a tie so be it. The league wants more scoring cause they think it means more ratings/revenue. So they keep coming up with the dumbest solutions and Gary Bettman sits in his office and goes "GREAT IDEA...WE'LL TRY IT".

Just accept that hockey will be 4th on the mainstream sports and stop trying to pay guys 8 million a season, and you wont need so much revenue from tv ratings and stuff. Stop thinning out the talent pool and making teams in the south where no one really cares.

If we are making up a rule we'd like to change...like in a fantasy world? I say make the net 3 inches bigger all the way around. Its probably like 300 more goals per year if all the ones u hear ding off the post in a season.

In NFL, let them celebrate. In baseball, allow pegs. In Basketball, make the ball explode and kill everyone.

  8. Football - overtime, guaranteed one possession each
Baseball - get rid of DH
Basketball - non-shooting fouls are team choice to foul shots or possession with new time clock, shooting fouls remain two shots

Boxing - one governing body with maybe 10 weight divisions and 5 titles within each division (Americas, Australasian, European, African and World). Establish one set of rules and guidelines, and this governing body can make mandatory championship and #1 challenger matches.

  9. NFL= same overtime rules as CFB
    MLB= eliminate the DH
  10. NFL - agree with Sooners
NBA - 5 fouls to foul out instead of 6
    MLB - No DH
Golf - Scorecard rule - not signing it, accidentally putting higher score, silly to be penalized for this after playing 18 holes
NHL - Do away with 1 point for making it to OT, end it in a tie after the 4 on 4 in regular season
Bowling - get it off TV
Soccer - Ban anyone trying to bring in a horn in the World Cup especially but should apply to any event
Poker - Show live action with no hole cards, can replay it later

    awe;otihaw;oeth;owaeht;oawhte;oawht;aowtha;owth;aw fucking hate NCAA overtime

  12. MLB - Instant replay plzzzzzzzzz. I like the idea of challenge flags.
NFL - Make offensive linemen eligible receivers. Chaos FTW
NBA - Just fix the officiating plz
CFB/CBBall - Stop being such whiny bitches about players getting perks. And get rid of the BCS

I mean...what? CFB overtime blows and why would you want good players playing less? If anything, increase the amount of fouls it takes to foul out. 6 is fine though, I think.

NFL-def celebrations. This tilts me so much. Get over yourselves and stop living in the 1950s. Let them celebrate and get crazy. It's fun.
NBA-stop sending certain officials to certain situations in certain cities in order to tilt outcomes
MLB-You can't step out of the box while you're batting to adjust yourself when you fucking didn't even swing. There are a million other ones, but they all involve shortening the game. No DH is a big one too.
Soccer-If you cause play stoppage, you have to sit out of the action for 2 minutes minimum.

oh and def pay college bball/football players. I'm over the whole "amateur" charade

  14. Why does CFB overtime blow so much? I think it's fun to watch and a pretty good decider.
  15. NFL: Keep overtime sudden death. But rather than flip a coin to decide who goes first, have the coaches come to midfield. The visiting coach gives a number where he would take the ball. The home coach can then give him the ball there, or take the ball further away. This continues in a name-that-tune fashion until finally one coach lets the other team have the ball at a certain point. Imagine just how fun it would be to watch Marvin Lewis and The Hoodie go at it.

Bill: We'll take it at the 35
Marvin: *stares down Bill Darvin Moon style* We'll take it at our own 3
    Bill: lol k

Anything that puts more strategy into a game seems fun to me. And maybe it wouldn't work out, but for fucks sake its better than flipping a coin.

MLB: Obviously get rid of the retarded DH. We don't need a position for guys who are too old to do anything but hit. If you can't play the field, then don't play.

Basketball: It's not really a rule change, but please call fouls consistently throughout a game. Stop letting guys hack each other through 3 quarters, and then get whistle happy in the 4th. For an actual rule change, I'm all for both less timeouts, and not advancing the ball on a timeout.

College Football: Two feet inbounds in order to record a catch.

that's a really good one for basketball but i really wish basketball would make the length and width of the court larger It would really open up the game. They should also knock about 30 games a year off the schedule
  17. Football: make pass interference a reviewable call. Way to many games are decided by ticky tacky fouls.

Baseball: get rid of the dh

gymnastics: bring back the 10.0. The average fan doesn't get the new scoring.
  18. NHL: Go back to 3on3 please, growing up it was so exciting seeing a double minor when it was 4on4, because you knew the next couple minutes were going to be good. Now its double minor, and they keep playing 4on4.
  19. NHL is one of the major 4 sports.
  20. basketball- you can goaltend 3 of your opponents shots, after the third the shooting team gets three free throws with a player on the court of their choice

football- offensive lineman may tackle a player to move him out of the way

    tennis- only white people
  21. football (NFL) - don't let possession be decided by a coin flip... more along the lines of college football
  22. nfl - good call
nba - good call. or they should have like a dunk contest to decided tied games
baseball - FUCKING SALARY CAP AND NO GODDAMN DH'S A;LSKJDF;ALSJDF;ALSDJFADS
hockey - tag team matches for fighting
golf - you get a mulligan
nascar - halfway through the race you do a 180 and drive the other way
  23. NFL- let the fun back in the league
    NBA- stop fixing games
MLB- cut about 40 games from the season
NHL- 3 on 3 is cool, and get rid of Bettmans bitch ass and kill that faggot Crosby
Soccer- stop trying to get Americans to watch, those that like it will and the rest of us will watch in June every 4 yrs
NASCAR- get rid of restrictor plates, should be able to get up around 300 mph at Dega and Daytona, would be fun
Edited By: thereraise Aug 22nd, 2010 at 06:10 AM
  24. NFL- not a rule, but fix the rookie pay scale
NBA-get rid of offensive goal tending
    MLB-use more technology
I don't watch a 4th major sport enough to have an opinion

agree with those, and my favorite in nba is dont let players foul out, so annoying when a guy cant play bc he has 2 fouls in 1st q, 3 in 2nd, 4 in 3rd and so on, its just so stupid, when a player gets his 6th (or 5th foul), give the other team 2 shots and the ball

espn-stop talking about gay shit like how players feel when theyre playing their old team "this is gonna be an emotional game for him today" stfu, idiot, find something to talk about, highlight a match up (wr v cb) or show rudy and varsity blues or something.

    4. Field Hockey
    T5: Baseball
    T5: Basketball

And oh, "gridiron" sounds so much better than "american football" :D
  27. some good ideas itt. 3 on 3, and better yet 2 on 2 hockey would be siiiiiiiiiiiiiick

  28. NFL - Tuck Rule

MLB - DH's in both leagues

NHL - The 4v4 and 3v3 idea is very awesome and I really like it (never thought of it before)

NBA - Lower threshold for personal fouls to foul out. I think 6 is way too many.

Golf - Legalize tapping down spike marks.

NASCAR - Only wrecks can be televised
  29. NFL rule requiring cheerleaders to be fully clothed such BS.

NBA rule not enough cheerleaders on tv.

MLB I would make it a rule to have cheerleaders aka high class strippers at all games.

MMA women's mma rule loser loses all clothing (hotter chick always loses)
  30. NFL- Bring back the headslap!

NBA- Do away with the shot-clock, 4 corner offense FTW.

MLB- Raise the mounds, move back the fences, expand the strike zone.
