I have a story to tell. First though I have to give you some background information about my personal life. I am 27 years old and I have an 11 year old daughter. I have been a single dad since she was born. When she was 4 years old, I decided to register into a gymnastics program. She excelled at it right away and has been taking it since. She is really dedicated to the sport and soon enough an issue arose. She was practicing 25-30 hours per week and if you add public school into the hr/week ratio, we are approaching 95-100 hr/week.
I found out that it was a common thing for gymnasts to be homeschooled, so I checked into it and let my daughter make the decision as to whether or not she would like to do this. I found out that she would be free to sleep in after a late night at gym, which by the time she was settled down and ready for bed would be 10:30 or later. She also could finish the school day in under 3 hours.
She said "yes" So, she is a 5th grader and I have been her teacher for this entire year and we are just about finished. I always took the math part of the schooling the most serious and we flew through the year without a hitch, other than this:
When we got around chapter 7, 8 , 9 , 10 and 11, it became apparant that we were missing something. For some reason, I had to spend more time teaching her technicalities of how to solve certain word problems and equations. Now, at this point I was not aware that we skipped chapter 6. I remember in high school, our math teachers would occasionally skip chapters and I would think nothing of it. Deeming the material as optional. Well, this chapter 6 was not optional as many other lessons throughout the year were.
Around the end of each chapter 7-11 we would come across fractions. She was unclear about certain issues regarding fractions such as: to divide you multiply by the reciprocal, finding the GCF, LCF, reducing, etc. Each time this issue would come up I would spend an extra 10-15 minutes explaing it to her.
Now we finish chapter 11 and I log into agora, which is the homeschool base and I check her math lesson for the day and it goes back to chapter 6. I thought to myself, hmmmmm???? I click on it and what do you know pops up: Chapter 6 - Fractions. I'm thinking to myself WTF, are you kidding me. I emailed her teacher and the response he gave to me as to why this school year was planned out like this was the state has a computer program that organizes the lessons into order that is best suitable for your students learning ability.
Needless to say that made absolutely no sense. It sure seems like the lessons were intentionally glitched to make learning more difficult and I am really pissed off about it.
Ultimately, I have realized that if I was more in tune with being her teacher I would have nipped this in the bud. As you live and learn, you make mistakes and learn from them. If they keep her uninformed, frustrated to learn, and brainwashed they can continue to make money off of us by creating problems and then offering solutions.
Playing poker is making money off of other peoples mistakes too, but I find it much different than the way these bankers make money off of our ignorance (taxing the money we earn by hard work to support our familes and then loan it back to us at interest).
My question is to you:
Teacher (holds out the mic and asks the audience) "How do you feel about this?" -
Teacher (sitting like a yogi with earphones in listening to this)

sick brag re not having to work, making a p5 account after getting banned, etc
-
So was it before or after she started taking gymnastics that you fell on your head?

This is why public schooling will never be at the level of something that a good amount of money can buy. Everything is a business, even education, and their goal as the book company, publishers, and institutions at the highest level, is to make the most money off of us. The one that i feel the most is the college books that come out with a new edition every single year when the content doesn't change and you HAVE to buy the brand new $145 text book when you can get the same information used for <$20.
great job with the kid, sounds like a very demanding life she leads. i've heard some bad things on gymnastics at a young age, can you explain more about that? ive heard its hard on their bodies and theyre worked waaaay too hard... i don't know anything beyond that though. -
I pity your child for what she goes through physically and mentally with a lunatic such as yourself for a parent...
are you showing her all those whacked out youtube videos as part of her schooling? lol -
sick brag about knocking a girl up when you were 15...
-
I'm not sure I follow. I get that you and your kid probably live with her grandparents, since it sounds like you weren't in the job force yet, 7 years ago, when you were 20.
And I get that you didn't know that textbooks and curriculum aren't always in the same order.
Is this a brag/rant about three generations living in the same home? Or was there a question that I missed?
PS...you might qualify for Chapter11, but if you don't a Chapter 7 is a sure thing, but has consequences. Check with a local bankruptcy attorney. -
Yes that is true. It is very hard on their bodies. Many of the kids get burned out before earning a scholarship. My main focus and idea behind this is to keep her focused on goal setting, staying out of trouble and off of drugs, staying in balance physically as well as mentally, succeeding in life. I am aware that she is working very hard and reward her with my love.

oh no.... -
So I think I am missing something, what did you have to purchase and/or buy from them because you missed chapter 6? Sounds like they structured in that way for whatever stupid reason but have you not just gone back to it and taught it now?
I guess you are saying you had to waste time by explaining something to her over again for a few chapters until chapter 6 came to light?
Why not just teach Chapter 6 and review some questions she had a hard time with in the other chapters to see if it makes more sense to her now? -
Oh, no....not this guy again. Although, I have to admit I am moderately surpised that you have not (as of yet) conjured up a way to mention your oversized trouser snake. Save it, cuz I will cut it off with my "lifesaver" and feed it to my pitbull as a $5 footlong.

It is completely free...they even deliver the materials ie books, computer, etc priority mail.
However, the state has the program organized in a seemingly convenient way. You log in each day and it gives you the daily lesson plan. -
Geez, Is that a sick brag that oh wait nevermind. Relax pal, it's all a joke, I'm a non- successful with women moran who likes to make jokes...lighten up pal, you left the door wide open with your last sentence and I "truther exposed it"...ya dig?

gfy for insinuating that the state deliberately keeps your daughter "uninformed, frustrated, and brainwashed" so that they can make money off of her later. Seriously, wtf.
After the last thread I shouldn't be shocked, but somehow when I hear your misguided conspiracy theory shit applied to the state purposefully miseducating your daughter for monetary gain it makes me angry to think that you can be a parent.
And learn how to use a book. -
so the guy decides to homeschool his kid, by using public school materials and instructions, for 3 hours a day, and is mad that he skipped ch. 6, and...uhg, the bs metter is off the charts
-
Did you even finish skool yourself 0LyfeSkillz?
-
Why do you pay for anything?
There are like TONS of public schools that are all online. For example, there is Connections Academy somewhere in the midwest, and it aligns itself with the area so it's considered a public school.
I'm starting to think this account is a level account.
No one thinks schools are rigged against them. Not even your run of the mill conspiracy theorist. -
OK no problem, I was actually getting a last word in on the joke but it in a serious way. You can laugh now.

"Experience has proven that the simplest method of securing a silent weapon and gaining control of the public is to keep the public undisciplined and ignorant of basic systems principles on the one hand, while keeping them confused, disorganized, and distracted with matters of no real importance on the other hand.

THIS IS ACHIEVED BY:
(1)disengaging their minds; sabotaging their mental activities; providing a low-quality program of public education in mathematics, logic, systems design and economics; and discouraging technical creativity.
(2)engaging their emotions, increasing their self-indulgence and their indulgence in emotional and physical activities, by:
(a)unrelenting emotional affrontatinos and attacks (mental and emotional rape) by way of a constant barrage of sex, violence, and wars in the media-especially the T.V. and the newspapers. (b)giving them what they desire-in excess-"junk food for thought"-and depriving them of what they really need. (3)rewriting history and law and subjecting the public to the deviant creation, thus being able to shift their thinking from personal needs to highly fabricated outside priorities. These preclude their interest in and discovery of the silent weapons of social automation technology. The general rule is that there is profit in confusion; the more confusion, the more profit. Therefore, the best approach is to create problems and then offer solutions."

PS btw, read what i write before responding...i dont wanna hear a question that i have already answered...like why do you pay for anything? -
question... if you had a kid when you were 16, what the blue fuck makes you think it would be a good idea for you to homeschool her?
life skills fail. -
As you live and learn, you make mistakes and learn from them.
As a person who see's kids overwelmed with riggerous athletic activity all the time I can tell you your going to lose her around 16-17, Please allow your daughter to experience school and "normal social activitys" As comending as it is for you to support your daughter so much, it will retard her social life and your relationship.
Its very hard to do but you need to let her do other things. As soon as she see's failure at a later age your gonna be in a whirlwind of BS. -
6 members of the new world order share a pizza. the total cost is $18. how much will each new world order member steal from the ignorant sheep underclass in order to pay for the pizza?
