  1. Just read this on Bartstool Sports and I can't stop laughing. Silly Canadiens.

  2. Such a joke.

  3. canada is the al gore to our george bush

  4. lol french faggot Canadians. seen way more brutal hits than this.
  5. Not many hits in the history of hockey worse than that.
  6. Dumb, it happened in the rink. I doubt they would ever press charges on a NFL/college football player that accidentally kills someone on the field. Even if the hit was a cheap shot.
  7. is this a level..that was not a hard hit it just happenned to be in the perfect spot on the rink. Even if his intent was to push into the side of the glass nothing should be brought up..maybe a small suspension from hockey if they determined he intended to do that. But legal charges...fn french canadaians.
  8. ban for life

The league already reviewed it and didn't suspend him. The hit itself is pretty clean (shoulder to shoulder, no elbow, no jump, etc.) It was considered an interference penalty since the hit was a tad late, but Max needs to learn, you don't lead with your face.

While I agree, there is also a pretty good history between Pacioretty and Chara before this ever took place.

Chara had tried to cheap shot him a few times to no avail before he finally landed this one...it all stemmed from Pacioretty celebrating a GW goal or something?? Chara took offense and tried to come at him...I'm not sure exactly how it went. I'm sure you can look it up.

The hit was definitely intentional...though I don't think Chara was trying to shove him directly into the partition face first...

I don't know how Canadian law works, but I'm pretty sure they could find a pattern of behavior in Chara...possibly call it premeditated? It's a pretty awful case, but I've seen worse....he did break a dude's neck on the ice.

  12. Yeah, I'm aware of the history between them, and obv the hit was intentional. The puck gets past the D-man, he has to take the body. But this isn't a case of Chara ramming the guy's head into the glass on purpose. He made a body-check (legal in hockey) and Max was in an awkward position and went face first into the partition.

If anything comes out of this, it should be the league reevaluating the design of the rink. A criminal charge would be outrageous and pathetic. Just a bunch of MTL fans with their panties in a bunch cause Boston won the cup.

They mad, cause Chara's Stanley on 'em.

  13. hey OP, do us a favor and don't ever mention Seal Team 6 and Montreal PD in the same paragraph ever again...
  14. didnt bertuzzi get charged for an on ice incident as well?

    seems to be precedent
  15. I believe you're right Tomm and i think its standard procedure to initiate a police investigation under those circumstances. That being said, i don't think anything will come of the Chara incident other than recommending changes to the stanchions in the sections of those boards / glass.

  16. It's what French Canadians do you Americans wouldn't understand them because no one does
  17. Please don't associate the rest of Canada with Quebec. The only good thing about Quebec are the strip clubs and the cheap beer.

Exactly, if you want to arrest someone, arrest the asshole that designed the rink. This isn't the first time it happened to a player and Im sure it won't be the last.

I know quoting an OP is frowned upon, but this part was so good I just couldn't help myself.

Thanks for allowing me to refocus my recent hate for Vancouver fans back where it belongs, on Montreal fans.
  20. Bertuzzi was charged with and pled guilty to assault causing bodily harm in British Columbia supreme court. I think he got a conditional discharge, meaning he has no criminal record.
  21. A perfect storm......

Chara had studied rink design flaws, all he needed was the right situation.

If my target gets to clear after a faceoff and is a little bit ahead of me, I might get him.

All he has to do is lead with his face towards that really dangerous spot and I can easily put him out.

    5-10 years imho ;)
