  1. I'm thinking about taking my wife to Charleston for a weekend getaway. Anybody ever been and if so when is the best time to go (doesn't have to be hot but would like it semi-warm). Where are some nice places to stay and where are some areas I shouldn't stay or venture? It can be a hotel or a bed and breakfast. Looked at going in April. Thoughts?
  2. Not sure what your budget is but Kiawah Island Resort is a pretty nice place to stay for a few days. Its not cheap but def worth a visit if you plan on going down to Charleston. As for Charleston itself it is usually pretty nice around April - May before it gets too too hot. They have a lot of cool ghost tours in Charleston which are pretty cool to check out. The history of the city is very interesting. From slavery, plantations, the civil war, pirates. You can tour most of the plantations which are still around, something that is nice to check out as well.

  3. visited a few months ago for the first time.

    def eat @ Hymans Seafood

    also did a ghost tour, was ok, not somethin i would do again tho
  4. Some real sickos up that way, keep ur head on a swivel
  5. Isle of Palms>>>>>>>>>>Charleston
  6. Don't stay downtown, just drive down there at night. You'll want to stay here: http://www.wilddunes.com/isle-of-pal...on-rentals.php at the Boardwalk on Isle of Palms.

    The Windjammer is a bar on the Isle of Palms, spend a day on the beach over there. This has the best seafood i've ever had: http://www.wreckrc.com/ It's impossible to find and that's how they like it. The best steak is at Oak Steakhouse downtown. Tommy Condon's is nice pub dowtown.

    If you like drinking on a marina with boats driving by, you'll like Shem Creek. If you like history, the ghost tours/carriage rides are a must. I'm not much of history guy and i was entertained.

    The first weekend in april, there is a run across the cooper bridge. It brings a quater million people
    to the area. That's when i like to go.
  7. Yeah +1 on the Jammer, awesome bar, sand volleyball court right out back for during the day, and they have bikini?/wet tshirt? contests a couple times a week.

    +1 on Shem Creek, awesome happy hour specials.

    Check out Morgan Creek Grill as well, it's right at the marina.

    Poe's Tavern on Sullivan's Island is a pretty cool day bar too.

    I can't wait for summer.
