I'm all for letting the gays get married but if I gotta choose gay marriage or Chick-fil-A, well, sorry gays.
Any morons out there want to suggest a fast food restaurant that has a better chicken sandwich than Chick-fil-A???
And if you know of any better chicken sandwiches anywhere in the Chicagoland area, let me know. I love me some breaded chicken breast.
I tried making fried chicken fingers at home a couple weeks ago. didn't turn out well. burned them :(
anyone make fried chicken at home? recipes? I used vegetable shortening.
so yeah, lets talk about breaded chicken breasts -
"Chicagoland" is probably the dumbest name for a metropolitan area in the history of metropolitan areas.
Fairly perma Chick-fil-A too; if I'm gonna be eating fried chicken, I want it to be crunchy ffs. -
Never had chik-fil-a

Edit: IT'S NOT INTOLERANT TO BE INTOLERANT OF THE INTOLERANT!!! Hi ud! -
Quality over quantity. These places are good but nothing compared to Chick Fil a. Not to mention how amazing the Chick Fil A sauce is. There's one 5 min within me and I have lost control. I seriously think I might have an addiction because I eat it way too much. Probably gonna have a heart attack in my early 30's. Easily the best fast food around.

What? No. Unless the Chick Fil A we had on campus was wildly non-representative, KFC and Popeyes (haven't been to the other two) both forcibly penetrate Chick Fil A's butthole.

never had it, but theyre building one around the corner from my house. It's not going over well in my neighborhood.

<3 KFC Chicken. Wish their fries didn't suck so bad
(If I wasn't a vegan hippie that is) -
you should eat more chicken fingers, they are average
-
I frequently order appetizers at happy hour

Great sandwiches. I don't live near one but they have the best chicken nuggets. While I'm not pleased with their stance I don't have any problem with a privately owned business donating money to causes they care about.
-
I agree but as a consumer I hate that this is their stance b/c my only recourse when I think they are stupid is to boycott their establishment and not give them $ & I love their food more than any other fast food chain. Here is a post I made on a bible beaters wall on FB where I hardly ever get into it with anyone.

Shortsidedness always gets me and I have chgd my views on several topics over the years. Hell, this forum (Jesterwords esp) has chgd my views on homosexuality being a choice or not. I feel very foolish to have not read up and do my due diligence before looking back. I never hated anyone, I just was very naive about the whole thing. Anyway,
Russell Floyd Okay, this is the 3rd time writing this b/c FB goes down when I am almost done writing this and makes me start over so now I am composing it in my gmail box. (if I already didn't believe in God maybe this would spook me)
Anyway, I respe...ct James and your decision, you were always a level headed individual and it takes one to not judge others when beliefs are different b/c we our programmed to believe that we are right (esp women :) anyway, I think the people protesting is fine as long as it's peaceful and I think Chic Fil A is fine to come out and say what they feel also tho it's a poor business decision.
Times change and we must adapt or we will be left looking pretty foolish. Not so long ago at every wedding the Ephesians verse 5:21 (I think, don't sue me if im wrong) it said 'women, submit to your husbands' and than some other stuff but if u go to a wedding nowadays you will not hear those words uttered. Not so long ago in a lot of churches we were taught to believe that the black man was evil. There are many other ridiculous things that change over time and we are way behind the times on judging ppl on their sexual orientation. Most idiots don't even know that being gay isn't even a choice ( I am not gay and have few gay friends but I am pretty logical about scientific studies on the subject) and think that ppl choose that lifestyle. Have you ever really thought about it? Being gay gets you ostracized in tons of places and ridiculed. Noone would choose to be gay just like 20 yrs ago noone would choose to be black because of all the hate and how much more difficult that it would make your life.
On to another subject which is (not so much on James' FB b/c he has even keeled friends/family) that hypocrites really suck and are the lowest life form around. Don't come out and call yourself a christian and a Godly company and then throw hatred out there on your views. Now many will say that they aren't hating but I would say having a predetermined view and stereotype of a huge portion of ppl is utterly crazy because I have read the bible and I am pretty sure we are to love all and not hate.
Chic Fil A has 1614 stores in 38 states and the Dist of Columbia. The avg profit is $10k/day. If you are so christian quit talking about it and do something. 10k/dayx1614 stores is 16.14m per week/64.56m per month and over 780m per year. Be a christian and humanitarian and open Sundays and build shelters for battered women, give clean drinking water to 3rd world countries, have no homeless ppl in your community, tons of xtra jobs for christians at chic fil a who do not want to work on Sundays, what have you. Basically, put up or shut up. Once again , this is just my take but actions speak louder than words. And before anyone says that working on Sunday is a sin I know this but I also know that everyone employed by them isn't a christian and that all of the good work above would bring a ton more people to christ than ostrcizing a community with hatred and bias. Bibles, books, food, water, I could go on and on but alas I won't. I'll end this the way I started it and that most people will try to find faults with others opinions instead of opening up their hearts and minds to change. God Bless

Gonna have to get a chicken, egg & cheese bagel for breakfast . That place is going to be busy as fuck today.
I'm all for gays settling down, but I don't see why this is such a big deal to them. The dude said he had the same definition of family as the bible. It's not like he called for a ban of Volkswagen products, fruit-infused craft microbrews and the Golden State Warriors. -
think I might have to have some chik-fil-a today for lunch
-
Im so fucking jealous of all of you that can eat it on the regular. Without a doubt my favourite fast food so fucking scrumptous. By far best nuggets in the league
-
Try using peanut oil next time. Also put some powdered sugar in the flour mixture - about 2 TBSPs for every cup of flour.
-
dont have chick fil a up here but if we did i would boycott it. fuck those people and fuck that place. lol religion indeed. (seriously, sunday hangover sandwich anyone? oh right you cant work on sunday because of religion...eat my ass)

I made chicken nuggets the other day that tasted a whole lot like chick fila..I live in the south though so frying foods is kind of second nature.
Take some boneless breasts and pound them down a little bit. Cut either into sandwich size, nugget size (i'd leave those a little thicker) or chicken strips. Soak them in pickle juice for 2 hours (I used dill, I imagine sweet pickle wouldn't taste bad as well). Crack two eggs in a bowl and scramble for an egg wash. Mix flour, a little bit of sugar, some italian seasoning, a touch of cayenne, salt, pepper, garlic powder in another bowl. Heat oil and some butter in a pan over about medium-high heat. The big difference is that Chick Fila uses peanut oil in a pressure fryer, I just used vegetable oil in a pan. The oil will be ready when you can drop a little of the flour mixture in it and it immediately starts to bubble up. Coat the chicken in flour, dip in the egg wash, coat in flour again and add to the hot oil. Cook it until it is done (do not overcook it will make the chicken tough).
I made a cajun mayonaise dipping sauce for it but you can use whatever you like.
