very sad, he was only 39 years old. his sister called me this morning. I am just not emotional when it comes to things like this and never know what to say and now felt like I came off as a total asshole to her. sigh.
-
just calll back crying like a baby say your sorry and just to shocked to talk.
-
I was at harrahs chester today and on my way out I was soooo tempted to buy a $20 scratch off, and it made me think of you, but I did not buy one.

This thread makes me feel like a dick for not going to my childhood best friends poker game last night and planning on not going to his game tonight.
-
That's rough. Losing friends is as bad if not worse than losing family.
-
im sorry WAR.....in a rough time like this..look at your health and please take care of it.
-
Tell his sister that you're "there for her" I think this is a great in for you with her
Seriously though, sorry to hear RIP -
I said that. I would rather be in with a bag full of razors then her though. I freaking saw her husband yesterday and he didn't say shit.

She called me about a month ago and said he was dying and I should go see him(he lives in san diego) and I was like maybe in the spring. He had a inoperable brain tumor but my understanding was he had some time life.
Somebody mentioned my health(sandman), my blood pressure is way down thanks to medicine so theres that. -
not to sound mean but you come into a decent amount of money recently and you take care of some bills and such but you would rather go to AC then go see your childhood best friend who you know is dying?
-
trip to AC was overnight on the train my two days off of work and required no planning. Trip from philly- san diego isn't something you can just do. I thought about it and was considering it but she literally called me like two weeks ago and when I said I might be able to go in a few months she is like GOOD you really should. He had a million friends, he was married. Me not showing up to see him would have been the least of his worries.

When I die it will be sister....sister....nephew(maybe dad/mom/grandmom if its soon). thats it. I have no friends that aren't internet friends now that will be like...oh let me stop my life and go to philly to see war. I'm not sad by this. I have chosen the life I live and thats that. I'm a hermit and when dad goes i'll be homeless hermit. -
dude he gave a bunch of that money to family that needed it, so leave him alone, war takes a lot of heat in OT and its fair game in other threads but his friend just died so lay off ffs

fuck u smokeycasino, stick to photoshops your life is meaningless, thats all u got going for u -
As stated previous, WAR takes a lot of shit on this Forum, but he does NOT deserve that here. Save it for anonther time.
WAR you do not know me and vice versa. Nonetheless, you have my condolences, as I know what you are going through . . . both from the sadness POV, as well as the guilt side of things. The best thing that you can do to relieve BOTH is to call your late friends sister a few times over the next few weeks/months to check in with her and see how she is holding up. It'll be good for both of you to talk, reminisce, etc. Eventually, you will discover her mood will be brighter when you call, and that can be your cue to slowly lengthen the time between calls. Also, send her a card in the next few days with a personal note remembering your friend in better days. She will appreciate that. Send one to the family in general, too. It will help you with your grief, too. Good luck, man. -
I love ya brown hole but its about support not sympathy. Everybody heals differently and if this helps( which it probably doesnt) who cares?
