my landlord said he doesnt want me having fires this year because its been awhile since the chimney has been cleaned. ive heard of these cleaning logs that you just light in your fireplace and they supposedly clean your chimney. will these things keep my house from catching on fire or should i just pony up the $100 to get it professionally swept?
-
lol I had a chimney fire like 4 days ago.... Buy one of the logs and see if a bunch of shit drops. If not go with the pro. I also heard those Logs stink like shit.

burn landlord in fireplace, two birds

Call the pro, bill your landlord. WTF is "I don't want you having fires because I am not properly maintaining my rental property"? Tell that asshole to get the goddamn chimney cleaned.

^^ This. Get it cleaned. Get a receipt. Submit it with your rent next month minus the cost of the cleaning with a note for your landlord commenting about how they don't have to worry about it anymore. Problem solved.

or get a discount for rent because not being able to use all of the amenties you agreed to pay for and he agreed to supply

Smokey says "chimney fires are very dangerous.always clean the shit out yo' stack!" have it cleaned. and $100 is a fucking bargain. lost a barn to a chimney fire once.it was a nice barn.
