    i've heard a few companies discussing this recently - the cost of quality control issues, lead time reliability, and transportation seems to be hitting home for people that manufacture there and ship back to north america. Hope it works out for you.

    I've been hearing stories of Chinese manufactures "stealing" patents and producing the products, and the Chinese government will not hold them accountable almost to the point of encouraging it.

    I never understood the whole idea behind the threat of a nuclear war. Nobody would really win in a nuclear war, and everyone would lose. Wouldn't the fallout from a nuclear war be enough to ruin most of the planet as well (via the atmosphere carrying & spreading the fallout from the bombs)?

    That's all they've been doing for YEARS! I ran a lighting company and worked for kiosk one at points in my life. The Chinese come to the tradeshows to take pictures of the product and knock them off.

    Its common knowledge in the industry that in Taiwan, manufacturers drawings are copied and shopped around all the time. Once you start producing something in Taiwan, you are pretty much guaranteed to have knock offs showing up in the market a short time later.

    hey had a meeting about outsourcing and apparently want to have China supply us all the nuts and bolts but bring back some high sales molds.

    Being in Quality it's tough to compete with China when production puts the pedal to the metal on all cycle times.

    China was previously run by a nutty bastard that liked to stir things up. The people in charge are more in tune to the desire of a prosperous and happy citizenry. Hope it remains that way.

    That nutjob in Iran on the other hand seems just fucking retarded enough to do something foolish with a nuke. That guy needs to be assasinated before he kills a million innocent Americans.
