Anyone play this yet? ive been a big fan of all the civilization except 4 and just wondering is this worth a buy?
-
it's good, but I got bored of it after playing through it 4 times
-
I'm pissed off, this game will not run on my computer and it meets the min requirements. Tried all the fixes in the civ forums and none work.

I have played it quite a bit lately. I like it tho there were some notable changes like not having to leave troops in a city to defend it (though it still is a good idea). I like the battle animations better as in 4 when you had say a pikeman it was one dude in 5 it is like 5 or 6. Your individual units seem to be more valuable as well. Where in Civ 4 you could go through tons of units in a battle in 5 each unit seems to last longer. Also, you can no longer stack units which is a pretty big deal. So instead of having 5 units on one tile you can only have 1 but like I said earlier, this isn't really a bad thing as they generally tend to be stronger and don't die like they did before. Each individual unit can now embark as well so they can go into coastal waters and move around the map on their own (when you get the tech but that is early.). Sucks tho as they can't defend themselves when embarked so you have to be careful moving units over water.
So yeah I play a little Civilization :)
It's a good game, I like it a lot. -
