    to answer your question... the movie is basically from the perspective of a few new yorkers trying to survive/escape from ny while this monster is terrorizing the city. the whole thing is shown like a home video. its only about 80mins long (excluding the 20mins of previews) which was a perfect length bc it would have started to drag. if you forget about how unrealistic it is and just accept it for what it is its enjoyable. not the best movie of the year, but worth a watch.
