  1. I started playing multiplayer recently and am getting my ass kicked real bad. Typical round would be like 3-12 doing mostly core domination and team deathmatch.

After watching a few youtube clips, I have started working the outsides more and going slower. This has helped a bit, but after about 2 weeks now, I haven't improved at all.

In zombies I could do pretty good. Top level 29 at Kino. Multiplayer is way harder.

Can anybody help me out and give me a few tips for better k:d or just to be able to hold my own?

  2. About 12 months late, new game in a week
  3. yeah but I already have Black Ops and I hate sucking at things.

My aiming is terribull. best gun packs are Galil suppressor red dot and MP5K suppressor red dot. How do all the guys that rape always have me lined up immed and smoke it before i can even scope in? Zombies had the auto aim where i could just lift it a bit for headshots. How do you guys get in on me so fast??

I am unfamiliar with the maps. Is that like the worst part of sucking? I guess more gameplay will help. What are your secret spots on diff levels?

I hate to sit and snipe or hide in a corner. What things should i do to die less? What guns and perks are best?

  5. learn the maps. FFS no wonder you are going out like a noob.
  6. Don't sprint too much until you're really familiar with the maps or have a good idea where your opponents are with a UAV.

Keep your back to the wall, or to where you know your teammates are respawning

  7. learn where to rush at the beginning of a map to get early kill streaks
  8. stop using sights... all wastes of slots. esp for assault rifles. all have clean iron sights anyway. obv not as clean but you get used to it easilly enough. try running around with the mpl. my fav class for tdm is mpl suppressor/dual mag. i run ghost with it because i play merc and cant count on my team to not keep giving the other team killstreaks. the irons are dreadful but if you can get used to them then you should never need a sight attachment again.

if your aim just sucks you should play to that. use smgsI(mp5, skorpion, 74u, mpl and spectre only, the others all suck) or even the spas suppressed(only decent shotgun and suppressor has no drawback so minus well). run around but avoid long corridors/open areas as best you can. very difficult on some maps like jungle/firing range, so youll prolly need another class for maps like that. but even on large maps like hanoi and array you can move through a lot of smaller areas. then you just hip fire like a boss. i used to hate hanoi till i started just running around with the spas and a tomahawk. now it's about my favorite map, but probably because it's always skipped so i rarely get to play it.

learn to mesh your class and killstreaks so theres like a concept to it. if youre not running ghost, it's probably a great idea to run counter spy plane(or decoys. scavenger pro with decoys is fun)... rapid fire prolly means run sleight of hand. dont run hacker with flack jacket. use semtex on objective games because grenades just get thrown back.

my strat when learning maps is to just run as fast as I can towards the other teams spawn until I run into the enemy. You find out pretty quickly where the two teams will usually clash, and then you can figure out where you need to be to pick them off.

  13. steady aim only helps hip fire... it's a misleading name. when hip firing your gun shoots randomly within the crosshairs(those lines that form a box in front of you that move further apart if youre moving and closer when you stop/crough/go prone. steady aim just makes them smaller to give you better 'aim' when hip firing(not aiming).
only gun i use it for is the g11. g11 already has pretty small crosshairs for an assault rifle, but if i get in a close range gunfight with a burst fire weapon, i want to have the advantage of not having to aim down the sight. also, sleight of hand is and warlord make no sense on the g11, so it's really just steady aim by default.

  14. I am learning as well, sounds like we are at the same skill level. I started camping a lot, in non obvious spots. I find it kind of fun and my kill death has gotten a lot better.
  15. Just went 13-7 on 4 vs 4 at WMD. pretty pumped.

I'm going to try the shotty and run around like steven segal.

do you guys run around a lot blasting to keep people in front of you, or is it more like find an area of the map and partol around there?

I'm on XBox TCQuest is gamer tag

i'm going to run around with the shotty on small ones like summit and firing range, and for the bigger ones like jungle and wmd i'll use the AUG with red dot (i like this combo with warlord and dual mag) and patrol a smallish area. LOVE claymores they rape heaps. just trying sticky bombs for the first time too they are pretty cool.

Just finished up about 4 rounds at firing range and summit and went like 7-12ish each time. no more 25 death rounds right now which is nice.

Obviously the more you play, the better you'll get. Just stay on the borders and you'll see improvement. Anyone on PS3 that's wants to play add : mu_TINNAL_ck
  20. shotty not so well on firing range. same with nuketown, unless you just camp out in a house, but thats lame. if you be smart with how exposed you are it can work, but for a small maps theyve got lots of long lines of sight that are difficult to avoid. and obv with shotgun you have no range. works great on summit though. also the skorpion is a 2 hit kill up close(very close). it has very little kick, too, but you should be hip firing in the 2 hit kill range. 5 hit kill at range but again little kick. 20 bullet mag which is absurd for an smg, i dont know why they did that, esp fucks you against 2nd chance bitches if youre running rapid fire. it has pretty shitty irons, but if you can get used to them, youll never put a sight on assault rifle again. dual mags owns, but the sooner you ditch the sights the better off youre gonna be.
  21. Alumni skorp for sure, and spas works fine on firing range if you play it right
