note to all - dont go on a pub crawl that ends outside of the downtown area! Why? You end up hitchhiking back downtown with a guy who sells u an 1/8 ball of meth which, at the time, seems like the best idea in the world when u are so hammered u cant see!

Our poker games are the best. Always an 8 ball. 8 out of 10 will do it. The others will smoke/drink themselves retarded. Some of the guys are super outgoing normally then turn into mutes. But u make one comment or they get involved in a race... coke or poker... and they will EXPLODE out of their chairs and look like they will eat your children. Here are the usual suspects:

COKEHEADS

Hollywood who sounds like a hoover vacuum. You can hear him doing a line from 3 houses away.

Cowboy who is the oddball of the group. Brings McDonalds hamburgers in Ziploc bags to games COLD, to reheat later. The centre of all mom jokes and trashtalking. And he slowplays aces 100%.

Rainman who used to dominate almost as much as me, but now cant finish anywhere but 9th or 10th in a 10 man game. The most talkative guy sober... a mime when high. And is the one who always says "Am i the only one who is so f**king high right now?"

Maverick is a real cut up. He will say the most hilarious and out of place things. Again, when he gets high, his pupils become the size of golf balls... and he will say things like "nic.. nic.. do your parents like bobsledding?" As i am about to make a decision for all my chips on the bubble.

The Kid isn't a major player but when he comes, he is the star of the show. He looks like your retarded 1st grader. Humming to himself, looking at his fingers... you are wondering if he was snorting acid.

The Duke (aka Nic London) gets pretty quiet trying to actually observe and pay attention to the play. But the non stop rails, joints being passed and double vodka redbulls create a haze in his mind. Also cracking in with the jokes and constantly pulling in monster pots. Most consistent player and definitely wins the most money.

Broadway used to be our resident dealer (not of the cards), but has had a career change recently. Gets the most badbeats in the group... like 1 or 2 outters constantly. Usually doesnt finish in the money, but contributes a healthy sum to the pot.

Superglass looks like he is trying to burn a hole in your head with his eyes... and looks borderline retarded/dead. Probably won the second most money this year behind me, and is tough to get a read off of.

Rouser is a minor player and a bad one. Says 3 words an hour and does about 15 rips/hour. Can get lucky, but is terrible playing with a chip lead.

STONERS

Big Slick is a real cut up. Smokes an 1/8 a least a day. Pounds beers back at an alarming rate and is charge of setup. He usually contributes to the pot quite nicely too... can be dangerous... seems to always finish in the money or 1st or 2nd out.

The Tickler is the one who hates women and life. He constantly berates Cowboy... so we all think they have a secret relationship as lovers. Absolutely HATES playing cards with me as i can read him like a book with no words and have knocked him out on the bubble very often. Which also allows me to bluff monster pots off him as he gives me too much respect at the wrong times.

The Huge Talent aka The Prophet is the guy who shows up late to get in the game. He will be the one who tells everyone how to play their hands. Occasionally causing a few dust ups. He is also the one who will show 4 straight bluffs and then wonder why someone calls him down with nothing on his 5th straight bluff attempt.

So as you can see this is quite the group. Imagine playing with these guys 3 times a month for the last 3 years with drugs and alcohol involved everytime?

Edit: my ideal coke situation is lots of alcohol (beer or whiskey, imo) with one other person that you have a lot to talk about with. or in a club. unlike weed, it's not a great "social" drug.
