Computer problem: scroll pad on laptop keeps turning off

    Hopefully someone can help me. I just bought a HP laptop and when i start it up it works perfect. But if i close the lid of the laptop then open it back up later the scroll on the mouse pad doesnt work. I have to click/hold and scroll the webpages. How do i fix this to have the scroll pad always working.
