I'd be willing to bet large money that the gf killed McNair and then offed herself.
Odds are that McNair was giving her the heave ho after she got that DUI and she figured if she couldn't have him, nobody would.
on a side note when I first heard Tenn Titans quarterback Steve McNair was incolved ina murder suicide (which the first reports were saying), for whatever reason I thought it was Vince Young and I wasn't the least bit surprised -

It definitely looks like a murder-suicide. The gun was found at the scene and she only had one shot to the head while McNair was shot multiple times. Crazy bitch.

This is one of saddest deaths in a long time imo, such a good guy and so young. Really hope he wasn't being unfaithful =/ but that's what it appears as so far, has a big family left behind now.

Nashville police, while neither confirming nor denying the possibility of murder-suicide, have unequivocally stated that McNair was murdered.
While this is hardly a revelation to those of us who haven't spent the last twenty-four hours in a cave, it's obviously a MENSA-level piece of work by Nashville's finest, when one learns that McNair took two bullets to the head to go with the two in his torso, unless, of course, McNair was tougher by far than even his NFL foes believed, thus able to put two into his own head.
One is reminded of a case from the 1960s in Texas, in which the deceased was found with five slugs in his back; the coroner ruled suicide, and it was more than twenty years before this finding was reversed. -
