  1. But why? Is it one of those things where you sip a beer and next thing you know you wake up in the bowels of Tijuana?

I have a laundry list of reasons why. But the short version:

2 DUI's is the main reason and the inability to control my actions once i got drunk. 100% of all the bad things i did in my early years were contributed to alcohol and in the military if you get an ARI (alcohol related incident) once you go thru Level 3 alcohol rehab, which is a 6 weeks inpatient program, you are automatically discharged from the military. My 1st DUI was prior to entering the military and the reason i did enlist and my 2nd DUI was 6 months after entering the military. I was sent to Level 3 and once i got out, if i had screwed up again i was gone from the military. I now have 21 years and 3 months on active duty so i figured the best way to have a long and fulfilling military career was to not drink.

I guess if you consider doing 9 deployments in the last 20 years which encompassed a large swath of the world boring, then you got a point. Only thing is i did it without drinking.

  17. Do you think you will have a drink every again in your life?

Congrats on 20 years and not letting alcohol derail your life.
  18. No, i will not drink again. There is no benefit for me to drink. I have nothing against people who drink and i have always hung around people who drink and get drunk, but i just choose to not drink anymore. I mean, i go to Vegas atleast once a year with PCO456 and he drinks alot. hahaha
