posting again because i didn't really get any feedback from anyone. people seem willing to trade, so are there any moves i should try and get done asap(i know i need a rb, but my qbs and wrs might be good enough to make up for it)
12 team, 2qb, 2wr, 2rb, 2 flex, 1 te, 2 DEF, 1 k.
qb is 25/pt 4/td; rushing is 10/pt, 8/td; recieving is 20/pt, 5/td, ppr rest is normal. so basically even tho its two qb and ppr, all positions are pretty equal, if anything rbs have most value
6 Patriots TQB TQB
19 Adrian Peterson, Min RB
30 Larry Fitzgerald, Ari WR
43 Chargers TQB TQB
54 Percy Harvin, Min WR
67 BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Cin RB
78 Jonathan Stewart, Car RB
91 Tony Gonzalez, Atl TE
102 Seahawks D/ST D/ST
115 Anquan Boldin, Bal WR
126 Denarius Moore, Oak WR
139 Sidney Rice, Sea WR
150 Rueben Randle, NYG WR
163 Jared Cook, Ten TE
174 LeGarrette Blount, TB RB
187 Garrett Hartley, NO K
198 Browns D/ST D/ST
211 Tim Hightower, Wsh RB -
I agree, Cutler has his boyfriend back in town. Just saying that him losing goalline touches wont be that big a deal, but he will also lose some 3rd down reps and short yardage carries

Tough for your Qbs to make up the points when rushing tds are double and receiving are an extra point. In this format i would have gone all out on RBs to be able to flex 2 of them and start 4. See if someone is not aware that Turner is prob still a beast in this format with his TD production.
-
Are your QBs listed by their teams so you have Brady and Rivers?
I would try like hell to get a 2nd tier RB, or just anyone that gets a significant majority of the carries for their team.
I don't think it's that difficult for a QB to make up for getting half the points of the RBs for TDs.
The top QBs are easily putting >30 TDs and the top RBs are right around 15ish historically, obv there are some outliers both ways in most seasons. -
What I am saying is that RBs are the most valuable flex starters in this format, you cant start 4 Qbs but you can start 4 Rbs instead of throwing WR in the flex
-
Thats a good point.
-
yea, its team qbs, so effectively i have brady and rivers, and if injured their backups. like i said ive never done anything close to this, so i felt with brady/brees at 6 i had to take one, and by the next round all the top rbs were gone, i had like ap and charles. then with fitz and johnson still there mid 3rd round, just didn't see how i could pass up on one of them, regardless of the format. and by the 4th, pretty much every top 15 rb was gone so at that point figured i was screwed at rb and was gonna just hope some late round gambles pay off or trade
-
At least you have AP, and BJGE is a starter, correct? My steaming hot pile of poop at RB doesn't even have anything close to someone resembling a starter at this point. (and I don't have a 3rd QB or DEF either, so have to roll with a shitty play at OP during bye weeks)
Same league as CHK and QW above...
QB - Green Bay
QB - Tennessee
RB - D. Wilson
RB - F. Jones
WR - R. White
WR - W. Welker
FLEX - J. Nelson
FLEX - A. Brown
TE - A. Hernandez
K - M. Crosby
DST - Bears
DST - Bills
Bench - V. Jackson
Bench - G. Little
Bench - E. Royster
Bench - B. Jacobs
Bench - K. Hunter
Bench - K. Rudolph -
haha yea i really hate your team. def think you shoulda gone rb instead of white. it was pretty evident there would be high quality wrs around for a while. after going white/welker you were fucked. id try and dump one for a solid 2 and low end 3 somehow. or maybe ever trade packers and welker for a top 5 rb and mid qb
-
i def made a mistake imo passin on turner in the 3rd for fitz. not that bad, but i think turner will be a top 5 back for sure in this format, maybe number 1.

but in my defense i thought there was a good chance i can get him in the 4th, or at least bush or richardson -
that draft was a headache. I was planning to go all rb's with my first 4 picks...but the guy right in front of me in the 3rd took fred jackson. I had reggie bush as the next man up and I couldn't see myself using a 3rd round pick on him, eventhough he may be a beast in this format, so i went Brandon Marshall.

I thought I was going to get to grab, Chi Team QB in the 7th, but Marshall Cutler Band snagged them at the turnaround. I decided then, that i was just going to wait a while to grab qbs. My new plan was two have two top DEFs. 49ers and Ravens were already off the board. In the 8th round, i was going to grab Texans D and pickup the Steelers in the 9th. But it came my turn to pick and there was only one rb I liked left on the board, so I grabbed Kevin Smith, got Texans Def in the 9th, and hoped some miracle would happen and the Pitt D would last 18 picks. They didn't. Here's what I ended up with.
3 LeSean McCoy Phi RB
22 Jamaal Charles, KC RB
27 Brandon Marshall, Chi WR
46 Doug Martin, TB RB
51 Antonio Gates, SD TE
70 Dwayne Bowe, KC WR
75 DeSean Jackson, Phi WR
94 Kevin Smith, Det RB
99 Texans D/ST D/ST
118 Raiders TQB TQB
123 Colts TQB TQB
142 Randy Moss, SF WR
147 Danny Amendola, StL WR
166 Rashard Mendenhall, Pit RB
171 Broncos D/ST D/ST
190 Brandon Stokley, Den WR
195 Alex Henery, Phi K
214 Martellus Bennett, NYG TE
Reason: same draft as quietwinner -
it will probably screw me on value, but I want to see if my team performs or not. Right now I am overly optimistic that Luck and Palmer will be sufficient. Rivers to Gates combo is very tempting.
-
draft tonight, 1 QB, 2 wr 2 rb, 1 te 2 flex, PPR, 6 pts TD except 4pts passing TDs
I have first pick, do I go Arod? -
I don't hate 93s team that much. White/Welker/Nelson/Brown in a full point ppr league is enormous. RB TDs are 8 points and no he won't score any of those but receiving TDs are 5 points plus the reception so they're actually worth 6 points and he will score a shit ton of those plus a million other receptions. Then he's got Rodgers as one of his QBs and got a steal and a half with hernandez where he got him.

edit: for cmoney all up to your preference. 4 point passing TDs and a ppr has me choosing between foster and rice personally but not like you can ever go wrong with rodgers. -
Rodgers is still projected to outscore everyone by 60
-
In 93-97's league with the same settings as quietwinner, here is my team:

63Peyton Hillis, KC RB

178Patriots D/ST D/ST
183Jaguars D/ST D/ST
202Jermaine Gresham, Cin TE
207Matt Bryant, Atl K
I'm gonna start Sproles and Hillis in my two flex. I got amazing RBs, pretty solid WRs. Obv my weakness is in the TQB but I got the rushing TD upside of RG3 and the NYJ TQB which might not be bad with Tebow's rushing TDs. That was definitely a strategy of mine. Then got Russell Wilson as my backup QB incase he explodes. -

13. Jared Cook (Ten - TE)
14. New York (NYG - DEF)

finally did a normal draft, and i think some of the people are mentally challenged. luck was drafted in the third round(although it was a girl so, meh), and i got doug martin in the 6th. i def reached on a few players in the first few rounds, but the guys left i was just super iffy about (ie 1st/2nd i took stafford a little early, and then took fitz over MJD cuz im just iffy on his situation in jax. somehow i got mathews(who i hate as well) in 5th.)

How does everyone feel about starting a rb and wr from the same team. Ive always been against it, but I now have Murray and Dez on my team and dont have a choice. Im looking around for a trade option for Dez, but I dont think im going to get fair value back for him. So, im going to have to roll with it for now.
Just curious how everyone feels about it. -
Absolutely hate it. I try not to get anyone on the same team particularly wr/qb

Goddamnit, I really wish the people in my league werent sending me so many trade offers before the season even began. But heres another one
I trade:
Michael Vick
Dez Bryant
Peyton Hillis
I get
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Darren Mcfadden
Dwayne Bowe.
This is what it would do to my roster
Fitz
CJ2K
Murray
Mcfadden
Torrey Smith
And then Spiller and Bowe as my main backups.
Take the trade? -
I'm just gunna run every trade through the fantasyguys.com and see if it ups my percentages
-
i wouldn't want fitzpatrick as my starting qb
