Well I joined Pocket Fives over four years ago and then quit playing online when all hell broke loose that fall. Recently I've come back though because a song I wrote has been getting some good attention... which led me back to playing online again. Anyway... I hope this is no violation of any standrards and practices. If it is I'd appreciate someone notifying me so I can correct it. What is below is a link to a YouTube of my song called "A Chip And A Chair." Two days after posting our demo in May I received an email from Adam Pliska the president of the World Poker Tour telling me that he had heard the song and really liked it. I hoped that meant that I had written the new WPT theme song, but that hasn't happened (YET). However, I was able to secure the permission of the WPT to use their footage in our video... We finished it the other day and I am now trying to roll it out there to the public... Without further ado, I hope you enjoy it!

It's good to be back!

I didn't know we had embedding... maybe this will be better

I thought it was decent and it does look and sound like an intro to a poker show. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks Hoosier! We are gonna be working our butts off to try to make something happen.
Well like I said I disappeared for 3 and 3/4s years... I wasn't even writing songs back then just playing cards. I started writing songs in Sept. of 07. Not a monk just scared off by the US Gov't for a while...
Thanks to the rest of you as well. One of my co-writers on this is a pretty well-known entertainer and heir to the Southern Rock legacy of Skynyrd and 38 Spec. He's been on the road but will probably do his own version soon... really looking forward to that. Thanks for all the looks and listens! Keep 'em coming! -
not sure if clicking that

That's almost a sentence... I don't understand.

I replied a second ago but it's not showing up... Hope this one will... It's a complicated family tree... The Band 'Van Zant' was comprised of brothers Johnny (who was/is in Skynyrd) and Donnie (who was/is in 38 Special) They are both also the brothers of the late great Ronnie Van Zant who founded Skynyrd. Jimmie is their first cousin and tours nationally. Here's his website: http://www.jvzmusic.com/

Thanks Quartersack... It is indeed a very talented family! And Ronnie was a huge loss.

Don't know if anyone here is from Tampa but "The Nutz Poker League" down there has picked up our song as their theme song and is using it in their promo video! WooHoo! If you are down around Tampa, check 'em out!
