I don't know if anyone outside this area has seen this. They are planning a news conference for Monday to explain. Since they refer to K9's as their partner . Will the punishment reflect that ?

This would never happen in Ohio!

he should get manslaughter or in this case canineslaughter against a police officer and he should go to jail for a long time. Throw some extra years on there for animal cruelty too. POS

How does a dog with a heart condition make it on to the force? Petiton for defective dogs to be declined k-9 duty.

Pretty sure this happened in Oregon too this summer. At least this is the second news article I've seen in the last month.

The police never get charged with anything. They are above the law. The case in Texas is ridiculous. 2 dogs died because the cop forgot about the and left them in the car overnight.

If it wasn't a police officer the story would read

sometimes they get charged. and sometimes they then sue the person who charged them for "violating their civil rights"

"It's being investigated" = "never charged"? Hmm... -
this happened around here recently-ish, the a/c failed and the dog died, seem to remember there was some kinda alarm that was supposed to alert him too but also failed.
-
I think the cop has PTSD and he is actually the victim in this case. signed Leftwing Imbicile
-
Some cops just want to watch the dog burn
-
