So they want to make Barry Bonds the face of steroids? Why is Bud Selig the comish of baseball allowed to just get the walk? He knew steroids was prevalent during the mid 90's. We all remember the strike and baseballs popularity was at a all time low. Sammy Sosa and Mark Mcgwire brought the game back with that magical home run chase. Bud knew then that people were juicing, but it was convienant for MLB and the owners to allow the chase to go on without no question? Just saying double standard here?
-
of course.
-
Well what can be done? If one goes down, they must all go down.
-
There's no double standard, Selig hasn't gotten a free pass but he didn't do anything illegal. Bonds obviously did.
-
not if you are the unbearable hypocrites that the media and mlb are. if you are, you pretend you didn't know people were juicing, even tho there WAS NO RULE AGAINST IT, and that bonds somehow sullied the record books because he allegedly took the cream & the clear (when they weren't against the rules of baseball), but that all the other hundreds and hundreds of players who used are no big deal. and that an indictment (ever heard the "you can indict a ham sandwich" line? well it took them 4 years and multiple grand juries to get this indictment. hmm...) is a conviction. if you aren't a hypocritical douchebag, you sit back, disgusted. like me

When you know that there is cheating going on in your sport and your the comish and you do nothing because it benifits you, Thats not illegal?
-
Deff agree with you jeff, this just dont seem right. on 1st and 10 on ESPN they said 53% of players who have been caught useing steriods have been pitchers! So were is the uproar why isnt everyone saying the freak of nature roger clemens didnt use steroids, when he left Boston he was washed up, now he is in the best shape of his life after the age of 40? haha ya right
-
I know this is hard for you to understand but, Barry bonds is not being indicting for taking steroids. But I do agree that it is a joke that baseball has profited from the steroid era and is now trying to investigate what everyone already knows to be the truth. There is not much you can do about it but not watch the games.
-
Barry bonds is not being indicting for taking steroids? no shit? and bill clinton wasn't indicted for cheating on his wife with a 20 y old in the oval office.
-
So you do realize you previous rambling statement was retarded then correct? Barry Bonds and Giambi were in the exact same boat. Giambi chose not to lie to a grand jury. Barry bonds chose to lie and now he is getting what he deserves.
-
no, fucking dolt, I don't. but regardless of what you are pretending I said, you are still one of the idiots that thinks an indictment is a conviction. unless you do base your guesses on inside information, of course
-
Um. How do I think it is a conviction? I think him being indicted is derserved. The goverment tends to have a mountian of evidence before they indict but I am sure you knew that already. And what you said is in this thread I don't need to pretend. I am sure his head size grew natually in his late 30's.
-
"an indictment (ever heard the "you can indict a ham sandwich" line? well it took them 4 years and multiple grand juries to get this indictment. hmm...) "
sorry, what is that you think I said again? you've lost me. again
