    I need to find an attorney who would deal with a liable/slander case. Any suggestions? I don't want to go in details on here. Thanks so much!

    I'm not sure there is much advise to be given with the amount of detail you have provided. Just find a lawyer, tell them the details, and get their professional opinion.

    It actually is related to my hospital stay and something they've put in my permanent record that is very very damning and very very inaccurate. I'm beside myself.

    I've talked to several attorneys already. They don't have any interest in taking my case, even though I've been done a terrible disservice, because they don't see it as a money-making proposition for them. How sad.

    Well, libel or no, I don't know what it's called, but there's now information about me in a permanent medical record that is false and could potentially be devastating to me if it gets into the wrong hands.

    Private practitioners are not going to take your case unless it will be worth their time financially. Why is that sad?

    Try to see if there are any patients' rights groups you can contact.They might have staff attorneys who could represent you or possibly put you in touch with outside counsel they know who might be willing to take your case on a pro bono basis. Good luck.

    I had same issue a few years ago it is very sad

    one attorney said it sounded like too much work

    It wasn't one person's error, fwiw. I was treated like absolute crap at that hospital. They misdiagnosed me and failed to treat me with dignity. After reading the record I picked up from them today, I now know why. I'm so pissed about it. I got the information I need to take care of it hopefully. A special thank you to poopy for talking me off the ledge :) Thanks to the other OT attorneys for PM'ing me as well!!

    This is actually almost exactly backwards...the standard for proving libel is much much higher for famous people than for common folk.
