  1. So, through a friend, I got an in with someone with the Phillies organization to take a look at my resume, and told me to email them it in the next day or two..... Obviously, this is a pretty sick opportunity (I graduated with a degree in sports management), and have written cover letters before, pretty good ones I think, but any advice on things to make it stick out, or a good format to follow.. I know this is prob a once in a lifetime chance so obviously wanna make the best cover letter possible...... So any help, advice, or examples would be GREATLY appreciated.. and if I get the job, I can assure you there will be an OT freeroll to celebrate.....
  2. if you get an offer and accept, plz leave your "Nation Card" on the counter. The Rem Dawg will track u down and kill u.

    gl tho, i guess :)

I Laughed... and for the record I will always be a Die Hard Sox fan til the day I die, no matter who I work for. I got nothing against the Phils, the Yanks on the other hand.. Just don't think I could ever do it...Plus it would be working for the Phils Farm System....

  8. so there was no job posting you saw that youre replying to? Is it for a specific job? Do you know what the responsibilities of the position are?

  9. Not replying to it, or an ad.. Have a friend that told someone in the office about me, and he said to have him send me his resume, and gave my friend his email address. So, could be something big, could be a total waste of time.....But, on the chance it could actually get me an interview, I'm trying to take it as serious as possible....

  10. Hey Just use a cover letter format through microsoft office, Im in college right now studying for the same degree! Did you like the arena football job?
  11. i asked bc typically you want to relate your experience to the job role they are looking to fill. Short of having that information I think it would be pretty tough to write a good cover letter. No way your friend can get you more info? if not I would just briefly describe what you have done in past experience that you think would be relevant and then maybe how you are extremely excited about the prospect of joining their organization???

is this guy requesting a cover letter along with your resume? part of me feels like you may be better off having your friend put in a good word when passing your resume along sans cover letter. I just feel like you may be taking a bigger risk writing a cover letter without knowing what theyre looking for, then sending them one with info that may not be relevant. just my opinion though. gl either way
