  1. So I set up a platinum card with chase a couple months ago, and signed up with their online banking system. Apparently, I didn't set up the automatic payments and I have a payment that is 50 days past due. I haven't received any late notifications by e-mail for some reason, and I haven't recieved anything by mail because I've been at school. In order to get them to rescind the 30 day past due report they sent to the credit bureaus, I need to convince them that there was a bank error that resulted in my non-payment. My credit score went down 100 points, so I need to think of something. What could I tell them?
  2. Have you tried telling them there was just a mistake with the online bill payment because it is a new card.
  3. Try telling them the truth. It can't be any worse than lying. They'll either help you out no matter what you tell them or they won't do anything for you at all. They're not going to make the decision based on what you say because they honestly don't care.
  4. this happened to my parents and i fixed it by saying they are old and dont get the internet. worked well

if you had an intro rate, you prob lost that as soon as you were late so watch out for that as well

  6. I tried telling them the truth, and I also tried telling them that the payment didn't go through. Both strategies failed. Need a new approach.
