So whose done this? I am taking a free introductory class this Thursday at my local Cross Fit gym. I really like alot of what Ive read online but really haven't been able to talk to anyone first hand whose tried this, does it etc.
What are you opinions? How are your results? Was it worth it?
the price is a little high, but I think this is what Im gonna need if I really want to take the next step with my physical health. I go to the gym alone and lately haven't been gaining the same results and have hit a wall. Im in shape but I want to continue to see increaesed results. I also think it will help me better network with people and learn more about nutriotion and what I should be eating.
thanks to anyone who gives and opinion. -
I believe Nat does that stuff (or at least used to) so he might be able to give you some info

Ive been crossfitting since Jan of this year. I have gained strength in all of my lifts, increased endurance, and shredded off about 10lbs of fat ( and I eat like a horse).
I just needed a change from the typical 4 day a week gym routine doing chest/shoulders/ arms/ legs same stuff week in week out. I follow crossfitdotcom WOD mostly and on days I just dont feel like doing what they post ill make up my own met con. I havent done a bicep curl in over 6 months and my arms are the biggest and most ripped they have ever been.
I really enjoy doing it because it changes all the time. One workout might be a 20 min total of 3 different movements that seem easy on paper but will have you sucking wind in 5 minutes. then the next day will be 2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2 heavy deadlifts. Its just always changing and I really enjoy it.
I highly recommend it to anyone who is tired of the typical globo gym workouts or anyone who is looking to get back in shape. Good luck! and post what workout yall do at the free trainer. -
No personal experience here but my sister has been "crossfitting" for almost a year now and loves it. She went from a lazy, pudgy couch potato to a lean powerhouse. Not only has it been a great experience for her, it has also forced her to abide by a strict diet as it would be pointless to put in the effort that she does and eat poorly obv. She is training for the crossfit games and hopes to be sponsored soon.
It seems like a great program to me. Not only do the workouts consonantly change, but the cross fit program brings in a whole different level of competition as everything is done for time and from what my sister tells me things get pretty heated when trying to best each other. -
You could PM DaVols as well, I seem to remember him being a pretty big CrossFit enthusiast.

Holy shit man. Working out hard and eating well leads to losing weight and toning up. Who knew?

A friend of mine does Cross Fit. Pretty in shape guy. If I was going to join a gym, it would be a CF gym.
