  1. Really sucked to see that the backcourt call on Scoop with the scored tied and 51 seconds left was wrong..
  2. As a 'Cuse fan, I'm already oi. We played like shit. End of discussion.
  3. Rainbow just for you, lurker!
  4. that call certainly was the reason they lost.

Few thoughts that I had at the time (insert tmac saying Mueller Referee Defense Force here)

    1) out of a timeout that happens
    2) why the FUCK are you leaping into the air and then trying to drag your feet like a fucking wide receiver?
  5. Im not saying that they win if that call isnt made, but it was a HUGE shift of momentum. and yes, they did play like shit, but still coulda won regardless

  6. why did you put thethe apostrope after the word Cuse instead of before it OP?
  7. haha, i dunno, i guess i didnt know the proper use?

  8. Who cares?
  9. I do... Now back to the shadows with you
  10. As a UNC fan, I'm glad you guys lost. :)
  11. Hey Cuse' fans,

I am sure you already know this...but...

    J. Boeheim kills Syracuse by playing the zone constantly. THis allows far less talented teams to stay in the game if they have good shooters and/or a coach who can dissect zones.

against equally talented teams it can work ok if they are not good shooters.
against more talented teams it can work well and cancel out any talent disparity.

Cuse exits early many years because of this zone. If JB allowed his players to play man and take advantage of the talent disparity than you would not have nearly as many early exits from the tourney and a few more F4 appearances imo. Maybe even another NC.

thats my 2 cents. the zone brings you down and allows you to be upset by lesser talented teams.
  12. PLuv, Boeheim is one of the best coaches in the nation. His zone is one of the reasons. Marquette is not a "far less talented team"

Mueller, it doesn't matter why he jumped if he didn't go over and back. Doesn't matter that it happened out of a timeout b/c it wasn't a backcourt violation so the ref is entirely at fault, not Scoop Jardine. I have seen soooooo many bad calls this year (especially this dick who called the StJohns/Rutgers game and the Zona/Memphis game) and there is no reason for it. I am sure there are enough good officials who would lovvvve to work big games that you can weed out the idiots.

good to hear from ya true.

I am not singling out one game. look at the their tournament history and you will see that they often get ousted by far less talented teams early in the tourney. The zone allows this to happen.

I dont disagree that he is one of the better coaches. A great recruiter, great developer of talent and a solid x's and o's coach. But even great coaches have their liabilities.

With the exception of the NC year, syracuse has historically underachieved in the tourney and i attribute it to the zone defense. You dont have to be talented to beat a zone defense team. you just have to have a good zone offense and shoot the ball well.

There is no doubt in my mind that he needs to play man to man or at least mix it in against the less talented teams.

  14. Big East was a joke. You guys are still whining about this? Score more points next time
  15. Still whining?? The ncaa just acknowledged this error and no one has talked about it till ummm now. They are just now talking about it on around the horn, and probly on pti.

  17. im pissed cuz I gambled on em to beat tOSU and make the final 4......

if they just woulda done that for me, I prob win the bracket pool such ghey
  18. jimmy is a great coach but anyone who always sticks to one defensive game plan and doesn't gameplan against specific opponents seems to be tough, esp with the skill difference of teams in ncaa like pluv said.

    :D

but seriously, syracuse fucked themselves in that game. why not just pass it into the backcourt? obv scoop doesnt realize he can have it bounce and grab it in the backcourt. just an enormous fail coming out of a timeout
