    The greatest Football franchis of all time? I think they are and here is my proof.

    The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team in the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). They are based in the Dallas suburb of Irving, Texas. The team currently plays their home games Texas Stadium in Irving, but they are scheduled to move to a new stadium in nearby Arlington in 2009.<SUP class=reference id=_ref-0>[1]</SUP> The Cowboys joined the NFL as a 1960 expansion team. The team's national following might best be represented by its NFL record of consecutive games in front of sold out stadiums. The Cowboys' streak of 160 sold-out regular and post-season games began in 1990, and included 79 straight sellouts at their home, Texas Stadium, and 81 straight sell-outs on the road.<SUP class=reference id=_ref-1>[2]</SUP>

    An article on Forbes Magazine's website, published September 13, 2007, lists the Cowboys as the most valuable sports team in the world, with an estimated value of approximately $1.5 billion, ahead of the Washington Redskins ($1.467 billion) and the New England Patriots ($1.199 billion). They are also one of the wealthiest teams in the NFL, generating almost $250 million in annual revenue.<SUP class=reference id=_ref-2>[3]</SUP>

    The Cowboys are the most successful team of the modern era (since 1960). They have won 5 Super Bowls and 8 Conference Championships. The Cowboys have more victories (40) on Monday Night Football than any other NFL team; the Miami Dolphins are 2nd with 39 and the San Francisco 49ers are 3rd with 38.<SUP class=reference id=_ref-3>[4]</SUP> They hold NFL records for the most consecutive winning seasons (20, from 1966 to 1985) and most seasons with at least 10 wins (24). The team has earned the most postseason appearances (28, which includes another league record of 55 postseason games, winning 32 of them), the most appearances in the NFC Championship Game (14), and the most Super Bowl appearances (8), two more than any other NFL team. The Cowboys also played in 2 NFL championship games before the NFL's 1970 merger with the American Football League. The Cowboys became the first team in NFL history to win 3 Super Bowls in just 4 years (a feat that has been matched only once since, by the New England Patriots). They are also tied with the San Francisco 49ers and the Pittsburgh Steelers for having the most Super Bowl wins (5). The Cowboys' success and popularity has earned them the nickname "America's Team".

    Ok...lets here why your team is better. Not this year, not last year but since 1960 considered the start of the modern era.

    They may be the best team of the last 45 years, but the NFL has been around twice as long as that, even longer. Is it possible for them to be the greatest NFL team of all time when some teams have twice the history they do? They have won 5 titles, the pasckers have won 12 and the Bears have won 9, I think that makes both of them more successful.

    You have to factor in other things, like sell outs and team values. Green Bay always sells out but they are in such a small market there not worth nearly as much. The Bears have just sucked for the last 45 years.

"yeah dallas has to be the greatest franchise of all time...i mean they have the most MNF wins, the most winning seasons...blah blah blah." gtfo man, gimme 5 years and ill be able to list about 100 worthless #1's for the colts too. anyone can make an article like this for about any established team in any sport. i was thining "this guy HAS to be some redneck from texas". nope, i was wrong. he is a redneck from south bend hahahahaha...and i am WAY to familar with them jk jk. cubs suck, dallas sucks.

    Been a Cowboys fan for 30 years, Turned into a cubs fan When Harry Carry left the white sox for the Cubs back in the early 80's. I dont watch pro basketball.

    I'm not sure if they're the best team ever. I don't care if you don't like them. It doesn't matter if they are worth more than any other franchise.

    All that matters is they are my team. I've lived through the ups and downs. I've seen the worst of them and the best of them. I'll take it all.

    So in other words, they are worth a lot (who gives a sh*t, I would own a minor leauge baseball team and be happy)

    They were good in the 90's (already knew that)

    And they have sold out every game since 1990 (Packers have sold out every game since 1965, and I'm pretty sure that there are 5-8 teams between the Pack and the Cowboys)
