  1. Sorry if i spelled his name wrong. I like the guy a lot. he really brings some fire to the show.

Today in the topic of the Cincy Bengels 8 arrests, he said somethign that really got Tony a little fired up, and I want to know if anyone saw this and what your opinion was.

He said that (and i will try to almost quote him) 'you need guys who are on the edge of the law in order to make the playoffs in the violent sport of football" ..... While i see what he is saying, he is overall wrong no?

Tony came back with "what about the Yankees etc" well thats not football and a violent sport like football so dan won on that debate, but what are your opinions on this?

1.) was that not out of line and could ESPN slap him on the hand for a comment that really was out of line?

2.) Are we going to tell our kids that THAT is the role models??? to be on the cuff of the law violently???????? what freaking example is that????

  2. these guys are all living on hte edge. football is a violent game, channeling rage. I mean even in basketball look at Michael Jordan, he used to invent slights to make himself pissed-off and play his hardest. Maybe not the edge of the law specifically but these guys live on the edge and sometimes it's going to spill over (see the brawls and all that).
  3. ok true but how can you say that on TV,,.. that you NEED to have thugs who get arrested on your team in order to be good........?

how as that not worse then what Rush said on espn, i guess is another point

-Edit- FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK i wasted my 1000th post on a red X FUCKE ME, I wanted to post noodz and get banned!!!!! (i know i still could edit them in, but i wanted a thread)
  7. yeah i dunno if you can really say that stuff on TV but lebatard does like being an antagonist, if you read his ESPNMag contributions, they're usually pretty contrarian to the general school sports of thought (see: his views on steroids, all the brawls, etc.) shrug I think there's a fair bit of truth to what he says though, not that you have to be arrested to be a good football player (obv not true) but these guys all live on barely controlled violence/rage and some guys are gonna snap.
  8. personally i hate it when lebatard is on the show
