  1. I bought a couple tickets last week. Anyone ever see him in concert, does he put on a good show?

  2. Not funny. Has never been. IMO. He's ok in movies.
  3. He is pretty successful using other people's material, yes.
  4. Differing OT opinions obv....FUNNIEST MAN ALIVE!! He has a dirty sense of humor though, and tends to offend a lot of people...but i like that kind of humour. Check out some of his youtube videos. Part of the reason he is so funny is because he is so animated! Lucky you got tixxx

i bet he pm'd carlos mencia too
  6. The state of humor in this world is pretty shitty if he is the "FUNNIEST MAN ALIVE!!"
  7. I never understood why people think this guy is funny. I once saw an hour long special with him. I laughed once and chuckled once during the whole hour.
  8. Have never, will never laugh at him.

Have never, will never give him a cent of my money.

Horrible comedian and the epitome of a talentless hack making it big in America without really doing anything at all. Like 99% of anything that's thought of as cool or funny today.
  9. His first CD is probably still my favorite comedy album of all time, his second CD was ok everything since then has just been terrible. His last few specials I couldnt even watch the whole thing. I saw him years ago and he was decent but his material was a lot better then too.
  10. Pretty solid stand up but if you have heard him once I'm afraid you have heard most of what he is going to do tonight unless he finally changed it up a little. He's a bit repetitive with his shows.
  11. someone's preference for/against dane cook is a good barometer of their inner douchebag.

I don't 'hate' him like a lot of people do, but I would never buy tickets to his show. I'm sure they're retarded overpriced too.
  12. I love how it's cool to hate dane cook and then when asked how come you just give a vague bullshit reason while looking to your left and right for approval.

The truth is he's overrated but def has his moments. I thought 'vicious circle' was a quality act. Think about the thousands of comedians out there and how many of them could do a show that good? Toughest job on earth give the douchebag a break and stfu imo.

    Thisssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss .

I watched an entire special with him and chuckled only once. I thought maybe I wasn't giving him enough credit, so I decided to try and watch another one thinking that I was missing something since everybody and their uncle talked about him. 40 minutes into the 2nd one and not one laugh I realized that the rest of the people are just retarded. Yes, he's very animated and I guess if you're into that then yes he'd be funny.

orrrr it's lowest common denominator kind of humor and a lot of us aren't into that.

again, it says more about his fans than anything else.

I actually liked Dane Cook's act on the Insomniac tour, so I'm not a complete Dane Cook hater, but 'vicious circle' was the most awful unwatchable unfunny hour+ of standup I have ever seen in my life. The bolded part clearly kills any credibility you might have had.

  16. I'll never forget the story about Erick Lindgren and crew walking out of Dane Cook standup after 15 minutes and Dane tried to go off on him and Erick told him that not only is he (Erick) funnier than him but he has a ton more $ and doesn't have to be an idiot on stage to make it.

This is perfect. I don't get it either.
  19. agree about how its become trendy to hate on dane cook... just the cyclical nature of things. first he's overrated and everyone won't shut up about him, then someone says that, and it implodes. this was not helped by the fact that the guy put out some shows where he's not in character and he himself is an absolute egomaniac tool

dane cook isnt in the top 20 stand up comedians of all time, but his first album was hysterical... i used to have it on my ipod and would listen to it while i was at work. then i saw 1019309 TV specials of him and got sick of how excited he was with himself. i wouldnt find any of his bull shit funny at this moment, but lets not go saying the guy was never funny
  20. I'm with sacaniga here, Dane Cook definitely has his moments and the absurd hate he gets is just not warranted.
  21. Women really liked him for awhile, that's the only reason he is rated in the first place. Don't think he was ever funny.
  22. sell the tickets and go see someone funny.

  23. thief
  24. meh, hes all right. Def funnier acts out there but hes not as bad as all the hate would make one think
  25. I saw him do stand up at a small club in Hollywood many years ago before he was a household name. The show itself was good because it was the first time I had heard his material, I'd imagine these days he is just repeating the same jokes that he has used for years, and just stating the obvious VERY LOUDLY with weird hand motions

  27. Seriously, what is going on with people in the world today? Are people really this cynical and just overall jackasses these days? To suggest that just because someone likes Dane Cook that they're an idiot is ridiculous. Im sure there are plenty of people that dont get the appeal of someone that you find funny as well. Does that make you an idiot for liking him? No... Just because he's not your cup of tea doesnt mean that there is anything wrong with him or anyone that enjoys his performances... I don't get whats funny about Michael Cera but that doesnt mean I'm gonna come on here and bash him or anyone that likes him...
  28. You'd be a lot cooler if you did.
