"Dare to be great" ideas?

    Any of you have any big ideas/dreams that you would like to pursue and dramatically alter your life at some point in your life?

    I would love to move to a Caribbean Island and open a small resort and take guests out snorkeling and scuba most days. Maybe try to slowly fix it up into an upscale high-end retreat and just live the island lifestyle.

    Also think it would be amazing to totally change my life by finding ways to make a difference for others by starting a charity or organization. Something like Tom's shoes, who obviously does ok for himself and at the end of the day knows he is helping out a lot of people through his efforts.

    I give the first one about a 30% chance and the 2nd one about a 10% chance.

    Not really the best post for a Saturday night but I've just been thinking a lot about my life's direction since getting married and want to make sure we don't spend it working our asses off just to keep up with the jones.

    I'm currently on a 3 year plan to fix and sell my house and move to Hawaii to spend the rest of my life chilling. Also have plans on doing something usefull like working with kids or some kind of cool charity.

    Just read through it...good for you man. I think you are sure to gain a wealth of skills and experiences which hopefully lead to bigger and better things. My wife just told me about a girl she knows moving out to Los Angeles to get a job at Disneyland (works at the Disney store here in Missouri lol). She is starting at the bottom and hopes to move up into management eventually. I always love hearing about people just going after what they really want in life, rather than taking the safe and practical route. I guess it's because that person has never been me (at least on a large scale of really going for something).
